 		I have watched the video a couple more time and have noticed something. When Slendy appears he is in front of Vince. IIRC Jeff is behind and right of Vince and Evan is in front and right of Jeff. When Slendy turns his head I had thought that he was looking at Evan...But, after sketching the possible layout and positions it looks as if he is looking at somethings else...

 		I also think the camera mic clearly reacted to the device. Which again, it must be said, reminded me of the sort of line-of-sight or whatever deal you see with geiger counters or any number of 'sniffing' devices for any kind of energy, be it radiation or something weirder.

But I don't think any of this is hard science or simply 'oh, he's radioactive' or whatever. I don't believe in any hard scientific explanation or barometer for Slender Man. It's like I said upthread, and Badgerconda said as well - SM is wrong for this reality, so things around him go wrong.

Pardon me if I'm mistaken, but did everyone automatically come to the conclusion that our inserted personae were the boys? Mind that of all of the unlikely possibilities floating aroud, that one is by far the most un-unlikeliest ... but from my pov I think that a convincing argument can be made that:

Man = Voyeur. All slendy ever visibly does is stand and watch; add to that that he's given us absolutely no hint as to his motivation or inner stirings. With any luck, should we break the cycle (which is quite likely either what HABIT wants to do or a side effect of his actual plans) he will be brought down by 'justice's sword'.
HABIT = Firebrand. A firebrand is "a person who kindles strife or encourages unrest; an agitator; troublemaker" - as in malicious. Evan may be messed up, but intentionally evil I doubt. It would still fit within the 'prophesy' as, should HABIT get his way (and assuming that Evan is his primary host) he would, in essense, be destroying both Evan (as it doesn't look to be a peaceful separation for the two of them) along with himself-as-a-construct-of-Evan's-damaged-psyche in order to recreate himself as his own entity... or simply a new construct-of-winning-rabbit's-now-damaged-psyche
Corenthal (possibly us modern day) = Guardian. Somewhat obvious. He's the only one that doesn't really fit the 'prophecy' as of now, but only due to the lack of known 'loss of blood'. Losing the boys was probably well like losing his heart, and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he went out in a blaze of martyrdom ... or the more likely scenario that his life after the ordeal was wrecked and he likely would have felt like he'd be better dead due to the trauma and lingering traces of slenderf***kery. And, for the final scoop of soil onto this sapling (not to mention to try to tie it in to the present cycle) - we, as the rabbits (and as the treasure hunters, so to speak) are a third party who are putting themselves in a massive amount of danger souly for the benefit and protection of the boys.

ante-addendum: like I said, this isn't especially likely ... but maybe looking at as many angles as possible will help us make this connection that we seem to have missed.

Evan sent a response to my letter from the other day. Evan sent a reasonably grammatical, perfectly punctuated and capitalized response to my letter.

I guess he's starting to use the computer more (yay spring break?). If I were you, I'd ask him what he thinks of the information presented in the box and whether or not he and the others have discussed it at all. Aside from that, I dunno.

Possibly, but that's a huge amount of improvement since the chat the other night. Smile It's also possible that he was just taking more care than usual, which would be kind of touching. It's also also possible that the EMH gmail account is compromised.

I'm with badger and qaqa in thinking that the camera seemed to be reacting to the device rather than the other way around, but the fact that it seemed like a typical Geiger-counter sound does sort of confuse the issue.

Regardless, I'm totally on board with the idea that Slendy just doesn't belong in this reality and corrupts anything he's near. (This is why Men's Warehouse stock has skyrocketed; those suits are good for two, three creepy stalkings tops.)

 		It is curious that Evan replied. If Evan is HABIT then he may just be trying to run interference on this. I wonder if Jeff even saw this. Also Evan is not the most stable of the three, this may affect him in some way ( major suspicions of Vinnie?) and drive on his paranoia.

I thought about the compromised thing as well, but I don't want to doubt any of the guys. If it was comprised however, I think our options are kind of limited. Jeff has seen how he types, so I don't think it would be him. ... That leaves HABIT and Vincent. HABIT has, once or twice, typed normally although not for very long. Even if it was him, isn't he the one giving us the clues? Why would he contradict himself?

So, really, that only leaves Vincent who we already think is keeping secrets and what was written in the response would cover that up. Two more things to note: I don't think Evan has ever written something in the presence of Vincent so he wouldn't know that Evan's writing is bad. And the way he signed is the way Vincent signs, not the [E].

This is depressing me the more I think about it.

The first sentence, "At first I was going to tell you to fuck off, however it's clear that you're really just trying to help so instead I'm going to say thank you," strongly suggests that Evan (or "Evan") is acting unilaterally on this, so I doubt that Jeff saw it.

Good point that it could fuel his paranoia, which could make our attempt to help a push toward their eventual falling apart. Ugh.

 		OK, so I have a new crazy theory. You'll have to really bear with me here because this is absurd.
What if Slendy, Habit, and the Rake are the original Guardian, Firebrand, and Voyeur?
Habit as Firebrand is explained well by others elsewhere.
The Rake as Voyeur is because we never see the Rake do anything besides crawl, although it is quite active off-camera (plus Snoopy could be based more on snoop than the dog).
Slendy would be the Guardian, then, and if he has indeed lost his heart and blood, that could explain his current inhumanity (maybe he was the Guardian of mankind but now "fights to lose all he loved").
As for why they are still around, I'll go line-by-line on how the last part of the Annotation could allow for that.
"THE FIREBRAND SHALL DEFECT AND SELF-IMMOLATE, NO LONGER DEFINING THE TWO WITHIN"
Habit split into two, with the bad side defecting and the good side self-immolating.
"THE GUARDIAN SHALL DEFY A GOD ONLY TO BE DEALT A FATAL BLOW"
Slendy defied a god, simple as that. Then he was killed, but gods (especially when there are more than one of them) tend not to let the dead rest.
"THE VOYEUR SHALL SWALLOW JUSTICE'S SWORD"
The Rake was rendered unable to communicate as poetic justice for being secretive.
"THEIR WORLD SHALL PERISH"
"THEIR WORLD SHALL BURN"
"YOU, TOO, ARE ON THIS SAME. SINKING. VESSEL."
Their world is our world, and it shall perish and burn, but for now it's still sinking.
"THE GREAT FLOOD SHALL WASH AWAY ALL THE ASH, READYING THE WORLD FOR ANOTHER GREATER, CYCLE"
After it's finally over (presumably the goal of the original three), everything will be reset and they get to do their cycle over again.

 		I had recently sent an email to Jeff, asking about his parents' deaths. I am figuring the events of the latest Corenthal letter make Our Jeff's parents a LOT more important, and now have a reply, enjoy. First my email to him:

By now you surely have seen the latest Corenthal Note found. One regarding a Jeff, as was expected to be seen eventually.

Now you realize how silly Hybrids can get with our theories, and our thirst for information. We've been recently pouring over everything again with the contents of that Chest found in mind. We've been making connections, or trying to at any rate, between everything going on with you four (Steph, Evan, Vince, and Yourself) and the Mining Town Four.

We are onto something, as another Hybrid will be sending you an email with the main theory sometime soon, but are still missing too much info. As such we realized one glaring detail that was too personal to ask previously, has now become relevant in light of that note. Being personal and definitely not something one should ever ask, no one wanted to volunteer save myself.

(And yes, that entire build-up was me trying to justify asking this, and possibly failing due to it being 4 AM.)

If you're okay with it, we would like to know what happened to your parents.

 		Wow, we're on a roll. Now all I need is a reply about that storage facility's visitors - um, admittedly, not exactly as profound a priority as the other two emails.

I'm pretty sure that was Evan although the much improved typing did throw me for a loop as well. I think we may have done all we can do there for right now.

But I have my suspicions. Compared to the little missive Vince left for us on the latest video's description, this strikes more as his style, especially with the sparse use of commas and the way he signed off.

I want to believe it, I really do. To that end, let us not forget to keep in mind that the crew may not be aware of what they do when they are "sleeping" or during their lost time. If they are being ridden by HABIT or Slender Man or the ghosts of the MT4, or whatever, then as far as they know they really are staying tightly knit.

Not bad. I would have it as: Slendy= Voyeur, HABIT= Firebrand and Rake=Guardian.

Slendy tends to observe, The Rake seems to kill those getting close as a Guardian would and we all know about HABIT.
