It's far to big to be a simple metal film canister. It's about the size of a small trashcan/wastebasket. It's a tiny bit too small to hold movie film, and large enough to hold Quite the amount of camera film, but is in no way a simple film canister.

Hopewell Public Library is our best bet. If this was to be for a hospital then it would end in H usually, not begin. And were the whole thing of HPL to be HosPitaL...while that just wouldn't make too mcuh sense, and would be highly unofficial compared to the layout of the HPL scrap.

As for the mention of the HPL being the camera's make...a possibility to be sure, but keep in mind this scrap is certainly some sort of clue. Saying the camera's make would only have even the tinniest impact if we can confirm it's MTEvan's camera as well, which for now we have no way of doing. Even if we did, at most such a revalation wouldn't have any effect that looking at the photos themselves simply wouldn''t have.

And MsSynclair is spot on, Libraries (most all, not just some) are VERY well known for newspaper archives. I doubt they'd have photo archives, but can never be sure.

Got a reply a few minutes before the tweet. Doesn't say too much more, but:
Quote:
Thanks a lot; that makes a ton of sense and, frankly, I feel like a fucking idiot for not realizing that possibility. Someone else just sent us a similar message, too... I think I'll give them a call. -Jeff

Looks like we hit it.

This, like the tweet, sits kind of weird with me. Why would Jeff feel like a fucking idiot for not immediately thinking of Hopewell Public Library? Does he have some prior relationship or familiarity with Hopewell and its library that should have made it obvious?

I got the impression Jeff had been there before or at least knew of the place, but overlooked it when trying to figure out what HPL meant.

Yeah, actually I replied kind of vaguely about how he shouldn't worry about not thinking of it, as HPL was very vague... It really did seem like maybe he was implying he knew something of it previously.

Well, I mean, it's a library that's (vaguely) near them, I guess I don't know every library in my town, but it's not exactly out there than a few of them are at least passingly familiar with it. I don't know if we can assume anything even if he did know about it.

Wow. I was f'in stoked when I got that tweet at work! Mr. Green I'm usually not the one to figure things like this out, which is why I am a lurker and not a member. All I did was type in ' HPL "new jersey" ' into google.

I was too busy derping and googling "HPL pennsylvania" and "HPL ohio," thinking Corenthal would not have been so close to our EMH 4, but I forgot about the storage facility. I tried Jersey but got generic hospitals. Nonetheless, your contribution was invaluable. The closest we got in Angora was Houston Public Library. Sometimes it's the most obvious things that smack you in the face. Maybe it's time you stopped underestimating yourself and registered.
