1. Love the terrifying new take on the Rake. He apparently secretes some super powerful anesthetic while dealing massive damage, though. Either that or Evan has nerves of pure adamantium. I could go either way, really.

2. Poor Alex. I'd never have guessed he was this messed up, and the loss of Sparky sure isn't going to help things.

3. Tree: Corenthal was like van Helsing, traveling around investigating potential HABIT manifestations. When the Rake (and Slendy?) realized Corenthal was keeping his eye on a possible manifestation, he removed the family from the game so that the Four could reincarnate without Corenthal's interference. The timeline's a little wonky on that, though, unless the reincarnations have begun taking hold/becoming apparent during adolescence.

The original four could be dead, or presumed dead. The general public might not know what really happened to the MT4. I assume they are not around anymore as they were, regardless.

Okay, so we might want to take down and cross-check every location and name in that document against what we already know.

Good Samaritan Hospital = in Oregon
Trenton = NJ
Bourbon County = Kansas or Kentucky?
Cedar Gardens in Hamilton = How did Corenthal go from a suspect in several cases to a honored citizen? Does anyone in Hamilton remember this, and his "vague research?" Any local officials, any townsfolk the boys can talk to?

Who has been archiving all this?

And why do they keep being sent to Baldpate - the place Corenthal was last suspected to be?

That was very intense.

Some things I noticed:

Jeff is wearing a batman shirt!

Vince said it's been "months" since they've been gone. The series is slightly over a year. This means that Vince misspoke (likely), there is time-fuckery going on here, or their parents died after the series began.

Either way, their parents died very close around the time all this began.

EDIT: and if it weren't obvious before, this video confirms that their leads and their loved ones are being killed off (or driven to suicide at least).

Jessa, Ryan, their parents (possibly), Corenthal (possibly), dead girl at school (could be Linnie), the cop, Rose and, attempted, Alex.

There were working hypotheses that either Slenderman or HABIT were working for the boys. The thing we know for sure, though, is that at least one of them is working actively against them. As opposed to the theory that Slenderman is trying to fix a time cycle or something, and nobody actually means any of them real harm.

What I want to know is if the deaths and attempted murders of Jessa, Ryan, Alex, and, possibly, Jeff and Alex's parents have to do with anything. The others were leads. These guys aren't. Or are they?

Also, why didn't the Rake kill Alex when he could?

Maybe the Rake was trying to lure someone else (Jeff?)

Well I feel slightly sick. With worry, and sadness, and empathy and yeah, more worry. Also fear O_o

First that recording. Oh, Alex It certainly doesn't sound natural, be that purposeful or not

Second, Alex almost dying. Do you think he was supposed to die, according to the 'prophecy'? Evan saved his life there, that's for sure.

SPEAKING OF WHICH Evan needs medical attention....now. Seriously, as someone said, those are GASHES. Bathtub water will not help much.

Sent a long, tedious email full of minutiae and questions to Jeff. Primary focus was getting him to look into Corenthal's connection to Hamilton - what was his research there? With which children? Do any officials or locals recall it? etc. Also asked him to again check in on Maryann Corenthal, who surely is another target if she's still alive. I'll post my original email up if I hear anything.

I did also tell them to take Evan to the hospital.

And I know we've talked about it before, but I think it's time(not now, though) to approach the subject of the parents again.

We need to find out what happened to them.
Although, some of this just rings of a hilarious plot device to cover up a flub regarding the parents.

Considering Corenthal's involvement and track record with the parents of "troubled" kids, maybe he paid a visit.
