Okay. I've watched it a few times now.

- Why is Jeff's voice all echoy like it's being dubbed in?

- Can we clothes match Evan to any previous videos?

- I know we all like the alternate universe thing, but something about the dialogue is making me think otherwise. It doesn't really match up with a situation where "they're trapped in an actual endless loop" it's more like they were expecting to find something at the tree and that was what Evan was bitching about...

- it looks like an old wooden farm structure

edit: You can't really see anything in the location of ADITL. Vinnie mentions something about a barrier, but I think he's talking about the grass.

I know Evan wore that sweater in The Night Jog when he's doing yoga...in jeans. /dramatic groundhog

"Vince buried his Special Edition Ocarina of Time."

ZOMFG, BEN-cameo. Twisted Evil

And the house is obviously a house. In the previous screen you can see the roof just above he grass.

Why don't any of the guys mention the building? It doesn't look like any sort of farm structure to me, it looks more like a pretty sizeable house.

It's probably a sort of jab at both feelings.
We know enough about the last .avi and the ARK world in general to guess at what's happening, too, I think.

Did we see a house there in ADitL? Or were there no appropriate angles? I agree that that's definitely what it is, looking at it.

There was a part in the ustream were Jeff seems to get annoyed by a question and says something along the lines of "just skip it" or some thing like that. Anyone know what question that was,and for that matter were there any other questions that were skipped?

I thought that they were talking about skipping a question at first too but after watching it a couple times, what they're actually talking about is that Jeff seemed to go to double check a clip at the end of their intro video (I can tell he's changing tabs and shit because the lighting from the computer on his face changes lol) that someone asked about and the other boys are telling him he doesn't need to do that and to just skip to the next question.

Probably because it's really obvious

You don't walk down a street and point out all the mailboxes, do you

Well, yeah, but this isn't a street, it's pretty clearly a sizable field.

EDIT: Also, you can't see it in ADitL, but it looks like they're not in position to.

Interesting theories going on here, I have a few of my own. I watched the video last night with a friend of mine who doesn't really know about EMH, save for my amused ramblings, and he and I came up with a few ideas.

First of all, I kind of took the numbers in the titles to mean that 77of76 comes before 78of76, and that it was available now because whatever powers that be are influencing such things chose to reveal the video now, be it HABIT or Slenderman or something else. The area Evan, Alex and Jeff are wandering through is definitely the same place as from A Day in the Life, so perhaps the building they saw is the house they were talking about and looking at in ADitL? The discrepancies visually could be explained by the passing of time perhaps, if this is in the future, or by this being another dimension. If it is, then between videos 77 and 78 they could have made their way to the house, and 78 could be them entering the garage/basement type area of the house from ADitL. My friend and I compared the two, and they have enough similarities to be the same place from what we could tell. Obviously space seems to be warped where ever they are, if they keep ending up in the same spot in 77, so it's possible that time is warped as well, explaining why it seems to be sunnier in 78, and why they may be wearing different clothes. The time/space situation is demonstrated clearly in 78, when they walk through the door to end up on the beach.

To try and explain my confusing ramblings, perhaps the Evan, Jeff and Alex in these videos aren't alternate versions, but the ones we know moved to another realm of sorts, perhaps in the same way they were moved to Evan's(?) basement after attempting to run Slenderman over, and the two videos are recordings of their explorations. It may explain the lack of Vinnie, as maybe he wasn't present during whatever event that resulted in them being trapped in that realm.

In addition, has anyone noticed the connection of sirens in 77of76 and Joke's Over? The sirens are two different ones, having listened to them both, but what the significance of them are I can't be sure. However, if they draw a connection, perhaps the excursion into the forest during Joke's Over could be assumed to take place in the same 'universe' as 77 and 78 (during a different time as Vinnie is obviously there and Alex is not).

Another theory, perhaps the hidden videos also take place (at least partially) in this alternate universe. The scene with the hand dragging across the carpet, has anyone been able to identify who it belongs to? If the videos are all connected as I suggested, maybe the hand is Vinnie's, thus him not appearing in 77 and 78.

Finally, and probably the most peculiar of my theories has to do with water and the videos of the guys underwater. Stephanie on her website made a strong connection between Slenderman and water, referencing multiple flood myths and other such things. In numerous myths, water acts as a portal of sorts, connecting realms, often because of it's reflective properties. I was thinking, maybe it's the same here? Instead of trying to drown one of their own or something along those lines, could the guys be trying to move between the realms? It sounds crazy, but it was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the water videos, and with more to suggest multiple realms, or at least places with messed up space and time, it's a possibility at least.

Anyways, sorry for how rambling and discombobulated this is, but I'm having trouble putting my thoughts together in a coherent manner. What do you guys think?

OH. I see what you're saying - you misunderstood. I didn't mean the tv was background - I meant it like, Slendy appears while Jessa was watching TV maybe and the distortion and noise was coming from it, not that it was just on.

EDIT EDIT: At any point, did Evan say that he couldn't remember describing a bad dream in the dream study? Can they all see that part of the video?

This... is interesting, and reminds me of the whole Jeff visiting Mrs. Corenthal deal. Is it possible there are more "holes" like that in the hidden videos? Something they know happened, but don't know they posted, and could that be the key? Or a la the Evan dreaming, something they don't remember happening?

perhaps the file was corrupted cos the incident depicted hadn't happened yet? might be a stretch, but that would amuse me.

.... that a, fills my mind with fuck, b, actually,.. sounds really, really awesome.

Other than that, glad to hear from the guys, glad they're picking up steam and moving forward again!

The thing about 78of76, though, is that Jessa is there at the very beginning, before they enter the door that somehow leads to the ocean. So if that happened after 77of76, Jessa would have been around for 77of76 too.

I thought it was interesting that Jeff said in the Ustream that they always hear the siren when Slendy's around. And yet we've only heard the sirens a couple times. I wonder why we can hear them sometimes and other times we can't... especially if they hear them every time.

Would you take the time to cut your hair if you were being stalked by Slenderman?

I'm still not sure what made 77of76.avi finally viewable to the boys, but just from the titles of the videos (that is, that these videos are titled in a way that makes them seem "impossible"), I would hesitate to measure them chronologically just by looking at their numbers.

The area Evan, Alex and Jeff are wandering through is definitely the same place as from A Day in the Life, so perhaps the building they saw is the house they were talking about and looking at in ADitL?

This seems reasonable, but there's no saying for sure yet.

The discrepancies visually could be explained by the passing of time perhaps, if this is in the future, or by this being another dimension.

I honestly have no idea how to explain it.

The idea of the boys cycling through this "moment" that they enter the House over and over again is interesting.. but until we know that both time and *seasons* fluctuate irregularly in this ARK world, I don't think we can reasonably say 77 comes before 78. Again, my reasoning for 78 following the exploration filmed in ADitL is simply that things looked so similar between the two videos.

I'm having trouble understanding the argument here. If they were "moved" to this ARK dimension (which I'm already under the impression that they did), that doesn't explain how updates continued regularly after ADitL. An alternative explanation that maybe you could agree with is that whatever time passed between their exploring in ADitL and returning from this new dimension wasn't "felt" in the "real world," and that their memories of said dimension were erased.

Think of the timeline as a sort of string.

---------------------------------

Now, we can place two marks on the string: one that denotes when the boys entered the ARK world via the House, and one that denotes leaving the house and continuing the trip through the park.

--------\-----------\------------

There is obviously a segment of time that they spent in the ARK world that is unaccounted for, if we're to believe they simply came out with their memories erased, yes? But we can also assume with some confidence that time doesn't function normally there.

Imagine pushing the two points of the string together. What happens?

--------()------------
...........(..)
..........(....)
...........(..)
............()

Basically what I'm trying to illustrate, is that it is possible (maybe not something I believe, but possible) that the "real" timeline was never interrupted, but, in fact, sort of sewn together in a way that made it seem as if this trip to the ARK world didn't happen, but at the same time, all of those events were able to occur on their own time.

Just a thought.

I have to disagree with your placement of Joke's Over simply because the way Vinnie and Evan were behaving in said video wasn't really indicative of this ARK world.

[b]I'm not sure if it's Vinnie's hand in the clip you're speaking of, but it may take place in this alternate universe. There's no telling for sure right now.

It sounds crazy, but it was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the water videos, and with more to suggest multiple realms, or at least places with messed up space and time, it's a possibility at least.

Even though there's no proof of it right now, I really, really like this theory.

Anyways, sorry for how rambling and discombobulated this is, but I'm having trouble putting my thoughts together in a coherent manner. What do you guys think?
