Succinct and to the point. I told them the obvious - check on Steph and Evan (and Jessie?) - though I expect they already have. Not sure how to approach this angle, since we've tried talking to them about HABIT/Evan in the past, specifically during the big Angorapocalypse chat.


I doubt they'd be receptive to it now. The writing style can be easily explained, too. Convincing them without the hidden videos might actually prove to be impossible.

 		When we told them about the hidden footage of Evan in the kitchen they suggested a sophisticated video editor. But I'm not suggesting going at them flat-out with that, because yes, you're right, what would it prove? All it would do is get me written off entirely, because Evan was pretty pissed off the last time a number of us tried to talk to him and Jeff about it. Unless something horrible has happened, they're going to believe what they're going to believe.

I truly don't think any of them are doing anything intentionally or consciously, but at the same time, that style of prose is extremely similar to Evan's. I just wish there was some way to talk this over with them - pointing to what happened with them during the hidden videos incident - which wouldn't end in another brick wall. But I certainly recognize that the plot may yet demand that.

 		Have we ever suggested to them that they -- through no fault of their own, naturally -- are simply compromised? I know that they're being honest with one another, but if Evan doesn't know what Evan does on the weekends than he'll have nothing to share. They should be watching out for Slendy-induced behavior in one another, and shouldn't just pass it off as "X being X."

I think the angle we want to pursue is Alex, if we take that vein. Vin's right, his behavior isn't the grieving process. It might be time to be more aggressive in fixing it.

ETA: Ugh, repetitive suggestions are repetitive. I'm just chasing my tail, ignore me.

I don't know about anyone else, but what I said - several months ago, right after Hidden Videos - in my first letter to them was that obviously someone was able to manipulate them without their knowledge as had happened in that video and that they were subject to being controlled by an outside force. AFAIK they took this in on their end but we didn't talk about it further as they got preoccupied with recent events. And since then we had Angorapocalypse, where we outright told them we didn't believe anyone was consciously doing anything untoward, but that we'd seen Evan do this with our own eyes and he might not remember and blah blah blah. Jeff and Evan dismissed any talk of the Evan/HABIT connection, but that may have been due to that whole thing being sort of a one-off party atmosphere.

If any of us hear back from them about this, or depending what happens next, I would suggest we broach the subject again very delicately, reminding them of what happened with Hidden Videos. I don't know.

I don't think we can fix Alex; I'll settle for trying to save him, at which point he might fix himself. I think any movement on Alex's condition may have to come from Jeff, when he opens up to whoever it was he was planning to talk to about their parents - grieck, I think.

 		In all honesty, I don't think we'll ever be able to convince the guys about Crazy Evan until something bad happens.

Given their track record with stuff of the uptmost importance(read: Alex has a monster in his closet) that we try to tell them, I don't think they'll truly understand until they have Evan standing there with a bloody knife.

Even the instances that aren't hidden(ADITL and the tape thing from the usstream) are just going to be notched up to "Evan being Evan"

If anything, I'd think Steph would be the party to go to...but I don't think she'd play ball. And if she did, I'm almost 100% sure that it'd be the last thing she does.

I would have kinda hoped that Jeff would have made an attempt to contact Chez Evan. At least to just let Steph know that someone "hacked" her tumblr?

I told him to contact them; I'm sure he has. I half-expect them to be fine and for everyone to be befuddled and blame it once again on haxxors.

It sounds wrong but I'm glad HABIT is back. I sincerely hope everyone is OK but I like it better when HABIT isn't in the background doing god knows what. (I can't believe I missed all of this because of cross-stitching. ::is an old lady:Smile
