 		Okay. But are we going to start taking Habit at his word that he was or somehow influenced these people?

I'm still(reservedly) in the cycle camp, but I think we need to start figuring out the nature of Habit.

In order for the Cycle theory to work, we're recognizing that Habit is tied to the firebrand...thus will perish when he/she does. Does this run counter to the notion that Habit can body jump at will?

If he can't and is still bound to the firebrand...and if he actually was Ed Gein. Then Ed Gein was alive for a portion of the Fairmount stuff.

 		Well, we've tried to learn the nature of HABIT before. We've tried to reach out, to sift through his statements, to get him to converse. He won't. I want very badly to figure out exactly what he is, but he ain't biting.

Do I think he's lying about his links to all these things? Sometimes. I used to be sure be was. He's a braggart. Demons, historically, lie. But until he talks we can't be sure.

Two is a habit, three is a trend. Or something like that.

Guuuuys, whether he ACTUALLY WAS any of those people DOESN'T MATTER. What he's saying is important, not whether its true. He's revealing the "true identities" of known monsters in the human race.

What if all this is just HABIT's melodramatic way of leading up to THE BIG REVEAL of who he is possessing/using/whathaveyou?????

I always consider the body-jumping to have something to do with Slender Man. I hate the theory but it's the only one I have. I don't think I believe my own idea that he wants a new "host" at this point (i.e. the possible point of the trials), but I still think he's trying to use Slender Man for his own gains. Whether to "break free of the cycle" or Evan's subconscious is trying to make deals with Slender Man to help his friends... I have no idea, my theories are not what they need to be. But I do think it's fair to guess that MAYBE Slender Man assists in the "body jumping" while Evan remains the original and permanent home for HABIT. It's a tree at least, and could be an explanation.
I'm still a bit torn about the idea that he's "taking credit" for these people/acts. I accept that's definitely the most logical interpretation, but I keep feeling like Evan and HABIT are inexorably linked- like HABIT was born maybe not OF Evan, but with Evan. I think Fairmount Evan was HABIT; HABIT wasn't really before that. He says he's "been around for quite some time," but since the 70s, that's still a fair thing to say. I don't know WHY that would be the case; there has to be a Slender Man connection somewhere. Fairmount Evan is still in a lot of ways the most mysterious simply because we have to account for HABIT as well. There has to be something in the story before Fairmount that explains this. It could be the single bit of information that would bust this all open, so I don't expect to get it any time soon.
I also found the newest CYSTW hack almost felt like HABIT was insinuating something negative about Corenthal.
For now, hoping for Jeff's story about his parents.

 		I can't really swallow that Corenthal was consistently being "framed" for the stuff that went down post the Fairmount kids passing. He, most likely, killed those people. The question is, was in control of his actions at the time?

I'm molding a theory in my head right now, but I've got to run to work, so we'll see if it's still around in about 10 hours


edit preview: Ed Gein died in 1984. The first "out of character" moment for Corenthal was in 1984

I'm actually kind of wondering about that from the EMH side. What's Evan doing wandering around looking at tanks alone? Is that a... habit of his?

Regarding TAJ, I'm pretty sure this is just a one shot cameo thing. The "you guys look familiar" thing cinches it for me. And I'm cool with it. I think everyone knew this was coming when we heard the girls were going back to NJ.

That said, I can't say I wasn't intrigued when they name-dropped two places. Veterans Park and the Garden State Diner. I'd love it for the Diner to be the Diner where Corenthal killed "dozens" but I don't think it works out.

The park is uber interesting, though. Looking at a map, it seems to be in the Princeton area, so it's definitely in the EMH turf. I wonder if it has some future relevance.

Going back to the video, how fucking awesome was the look Evan gave when he sees the camera? I half-expected him flip out about

Regarding the Gein/Habit thing. I'm too lazy to post a wall of text about it. We'll just see how it plays out

 		Another way of looking at the HABIT "taking credit" thing is that he does call himself "mankind's bad HABIT". There's no reason why the second personality of Fairmount Evan couldn't just like identifying himself with past horrors like this. He does like to boast. Doesn't exactly mean he has done all he would have us believe he has...

 		I'm 100% certain that's the case, Lunatic. The only things I think HABIT could remotely be the cause of are the events specific to Dr. Corenthal and the Hybrids, and even then a fair number are probably Slenderman at work.
