I like FRA's approach but I can't say I approve of his referring to the trials in an OOG context.

Honestly, I quite dig the shot he's taking.

So FRA, if you do get eliminated? (Hypothetically) Would you open the box for us then?

I really couldn't care less so long as the necessary information from the box gets out, and I'm sure it will one way or another. If he was subverting the rules in order to glean something new from HABIT for us to chew on, destabilize his agenda, and do something other than simply pass the trial, I'd be more interested, but as it is it's just kind of ho-hum. Good luck, I guess.

No, it's really not. EMH is a piece of chaotic fiction that encourages interaction between the creators and the consumers. That's... kinda why we're on this forum... He's found a creative (and provocative) way of doing that. A more appropriate analogy would be going to a concert and singing the lyrics back at the band in a silly falsetto whilst wearing a Victorian fop costume. He's interacting with the art on its own accepted terms in an unexpected way.

I was in the middle of lecture when I read this and immediately busted out laughing. When my instructor asked me what the problem was, the only thing I could think to say was "HABIT made me do it." I think I'll be
taking the rest of the morning off.

I agree. This is what makes EMH a true ARG and not just a webseries.

There's a famous example of an ARG with a similar incident actually. The players had been working to help save a girl, helping her hide, etc. But at one point a player just went rogue and sent all the all the info the players had about the girl's whereabouts to the villains. Needless to say the PMs had to do some scrambling.

As I said, I respect the move. Fight villainy with villainy.... But let me see what's in the f-ing box!!! I need an EMH hit!

I like it. A lot, actually.

I just hope it doesn't bite us in the derriere.

On the other hand,

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If EMH is crafty, and FRA willing, they could contact him (email or whatever) and see if he's interested in "dying" for the series, where he would disappear and the box would be sent to someone else.

Updated the News thread - sorry FRA, yep, it was a typo.

Also, regarding the mail - if it is from the seventrials account, and in all-caps, then it is likely IG. If it is from another one, then it may be OOG.

Ah, I want to know what it says! If it's IG, that is. :O
