This is the sort of craziness that a lack of updates has driven me to:

I noticed this evening that P-I-T-Y on a telephone keypad is 7489. Presumably we have at least a couple more Corenthal letters to go through, and as we know the Corenthal correspondences have thus far all been dated. Maybe something really significant happened on July 4, 1989, and we'll learn about it in an upcoming letter or news article. And fireworks and apple pie.

I will now stop gibbering and get some sleep.

Smiling man, huh? So HABIT is, uhm, claiming to be this smiling man, yes? So he would be...actually helping Slendy? Oh gosh, I could misinterpreting this horribly wrong though.

If that's the case though and I'm not ridiculously wrong, wonder if HABIT is claiming to be someone significant in regards to the "smiling man". Wasn't he going around claiming to be all these different serial killers? If that's still being done, Ed Gein was active in 1957...although if I remember right, he already claimed to have control over Gein?

Judging by that description it suggests HABIT's(?) host at the time - if that was him - was invulnerable. Holes all over him and he kept going.

It's more of the same pattern we saw in the news clippings - traumatized/Slendy-touched children's families are destroyed, and Slendy takes 'em (and Corenthal is blamed?). It happened to the Centralia 4 too. It's been happening a long time, maybe as part of the cycle. And I don't need to underline the other possible recent example, we've already been over that.

AN EXCERPT FROM THE DIARY OF AN ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL NAMED DAWN. MET HER IN '57 IF MEMORY SERVES

Deer diary today was crazy! me momy and dady wer all wachin tv. And momy sayd that the tall man in the sute was outside again. I like it when he is here. So dady calld the cops. Dady sayd that a lot of kids are gone and the tall man took them. I like him. A lot of poleece man wer outside and sum wer talking to dady and then ther was a lot of yeling outside and loud bangs! One poleece man fell thru the window! He was all red I thingk frum blood and his belly was open. But he was just sleeping. The poleece man neer dady was usin his gun out the window that his frend fell thru! It was reely loud! And then a big nife flew into the poleece mans hed. It looked like the one that a man usd at petes bucher stor that me and dady go to. Dady was shaking momy but she just waching. Another poleece man ran outside and I saw him get his hed cut off! But he was just sleeping. Wen he fell down I saw the man who was makin the polleec mad. He is not the man in the sute. He is a scary smiling man. Dady piked me up ran upstares. I herd momy scream. But it is ok shes just sleeping. Dady put me in the closet and wisperd don't move but the smiling man was behind him. Sumthing got push thru dadys body. It was shiny and lookd like one momys nifes but reely big. Then he grabbed dadys hed and twistd it. Ther was a loud snap and dady fell asleep. The smiling man was all red and blood came out of a bunch of holes all over him. Thos poleece wer meen to him. He sayd that we ar going to see the tall man and sayd that I can rite everything that hapend today in my diary. We are getnig close to the park now and I see the man. I feel very good diary. I am happy wen I see the man in the sute.

Yeah. If I had to guess, this comes off as a typical proxy thing. Certainly explains what happened with Corenthal at diner.

But I don't read this as Smiling Man=Habit.

Even though it doesn't indicate it. I still think there might be a power struggle between an inHABITing force and Slenderzombism. Certainly explains the tweet fight.
