And agreed that that "supposed to be normal" comment was a bit bizarre. Not sure what to make of it.

Overall, another fantastic video(admittedly, had to watch this one with the lights on after hearing Mr. Rake would be making an appearance...the lampshade crashing halfway through the video didn't help matters). Was a bit surprised there wasn't a connection to TT; perhaps that connection will be made in the next video.

They say they in video they "don't know who the guy was." (that was paraphrased) Hell, if not for that line I wouldn't have realised the Rake was snacking on anything at all.

The Rake's eyes though. Those eyes. First we can't tell if it's blood or just blackness from those things, and then the bits hanging from the eyes. Not dripping like blood, hanging yet too small to be eyes. So his eyes might have been ripped out with the eyes also plucked off the eyestalks (assuming it's just not an inky blackness). Which leads to some implications (if you feel like reading too much into things like I do right now). Either 1: This development was recent, so maybe it was a punishment from Habit or Slendy? or 2: If it wasn't recent then his eyes have been having those bits hanging for a while, which when one thinks about the flesh from the stalks enough just gets sickening. Of course it could instead be 3: That The Rake was using those eye holes to also devour flesh, a la The Corinthian.

 		The thing being dragged off by the Rake looked like a human leg and foot in shorts to me. I assumed the worst about their guest for the evening. That coupled with Jeff's hysteria and insistence that they got a deer made me concerned.

However, the thing in the dark around 9:16 sure looks like a...fictionalized deer.

 		At the start of that scene, Evan is emphasizing how the movie night is supposed to mark that everything is fine again. Then Alex goes and ruins it by being in crazyland. In that light, you could construe Jessie's comment, "I thought we were supposed to be normal," as being either selfish (he's ruining her pretense normalness) or desperate (the pretense was never sufficient in the first place).

[edit] response to above: the silent shot of them bloody and the silent Rake clip are assumed to both be from the same video sent to the gang in an email around June. The actual footage of them bloody is then shown at the end to be the outcome of their 4th of July expedition, connecting the Rake's real appearance to their little hunting party. Why would there be an unrelated dead something present around the same time and location that the gang killed something?

 		Nevermind - timeline doesn't match.

The Rake clip was from June, right? And the footage at the end is all July. So no Daniel. So who or what?

A bit narmy, but the cast reaction more than made up for it. Jessie's plaintive "I thought we were supposed to be normal," broke my damn heart.

I think overall, the acting in this episode was what killed me. Everyone is so spot on. I believed every moment. I loved Evan reacting with naked bewilderment to the picture. I loved the boys having fun and bullshitting about fireworks. I loved Jeff's gradual awakening to the reality of what happened in the woods.

The most pressing question I have... where the fuck is Steph? What's going on with her?

 		Okay, so basically I'm full of shit, again. That definitely looks like a "deer" stand-in on closer examination, at least to me. So yeah. I'm still glad I inquired about poor clueless Daniel though. I should not fanwank so quickly after a vid.

 		Yeah I don't have much.
However I am in qaqa's boat in the thing that is dragged from the area by the rake definitely looks like a leg with a pair of shorts.

Right now I'm between it was a deer and not we'll have to wait and see. Further when did HABIT send them that clip we need to know to gauge time a little better.

Also got to say the work on the rake is perfect and made so much worse in my head by the implications of what caused it to end up looking like it does now.
