I'm not sure why, but in the 7/22/95 letter the choice of "rapist" seems odd. It seems more likely that they would call him a pedophile or ephebophile (I'm pretty sure that's spelled wrong). I just have a hard time pictureing a group of psychiatrists or psychologists not makeing that distinction I guess.

I think the consensus on this was that "rapist" was just an unfortunate turn on "therapist"? May be misremembering though.

Possible Sixteen. Well, possible if Dr. Corenthal was a "professional twice over." He could have been an analyst and a therapist.

Why would they have been shouting "therapist!" at him though? That's not a great insult, is it?

I mean, as much as I really believe that Pity can help save them, I honestly see little possibility of us encouraging it in them.

This is all true.

Fuck. Glenn's offer to HABIT isn't going to help with us sticking with the guys. Well, this is all starting to tie itself up into a neat little package, isn't it?

I guess the best way to frame it would be to point out that grieck has sacrificed his credibility to help out the guys, that he betrayed them for their own sake.

Also a good idea to start engaging Alex more. Maybe we can start cracking the edges of his delusions. (I doubt we could get rid of them at all, considering that they probably have supernatural enforcement. I can talk pretty fast, but I'm not about to pit that against Slenderman.)

The Pity thing, at least in the context of LoTR, also kinda makes me feel like HABIT will be instrumental in finally breaking the cycle and possibly saving the guys if we can keep Evan from killing them both. But that's just me being silly now. Razz

That's not silly at all. It pays to be merciful to your enemies. Killing HABIT would accomplish a lot, but leaving him alive and under EMH control would accomplish a lot more.

Well, we'll just have to play it by ear. He hasn't made himself known in Evan just yet.

Good thoughts, Stoicheio.

Luipaard: Yeah, I understand. There doesn't seem to be much we can do.
Idunno. Dixie and I were considering the grieck situation, and also wondered if the guys trust the Rabbits at this point. With grieck, you're really going to have to do whatever he says, aren't you? I don't think it's safe to tip HABIT off that we're all waiting to pull the rug from under him, especially not the Rabbits.
We thought maybe we/the Rabbits should send the guys an email asking them if they trust us, or implying that they should, but the email address is compromised isn't it? But it also might become important to make sure they know. There could be ways around this, and I think maybe this email should happen if things go any farther down that road, and not only for the Rabbits but a general HYBRID email. At the moment, as far as the Rabbits, the risk kind of outweighs the reward, but that could shift.
Is someone willing to draft a somewhat heartfelt email from the HYBRIDs on this subject?
Also, Dixie pointed out to me yesterday that HABIT gave the player a diamond sword in DUBIOUS, and reminded me about the Voyeur's annotation. Possibly means nothing, considering the place was swarming with enemies, but it was a diamond sword specifically. Could be looking at it too hard but diamond is symbolic of truth, clarity, love, purity, and in some cultures has to do with innocence opposing guilt.

I'd be happy to draft that heartfelt email if someone will look it over for me. Fair warning though, the boys have never responded to me or anyone else I've been in involved with, so I'm probably jinxed.

That's a good point about the sword, but something about it doesn't quite gel. Unless Box 5 plays out in Minecraft. Which would be pretty funny.

Yeah, there is something "don't look here" about that sword thing. Also, the box already happened, Luipaard. <3

Wut? Yeah, I know we found it already, I was just thinking that it would be funny if the Firebrand, Guardian and Voyeur had their massive conflict in Minecraft instead of the real world.

My last two long-assed, heartfelt emails didn't exactly resonate with Evan or Steph. I'd feel kind of silly trying again right now since I twice gambled and flopped. Anyone else?

So my Minecraft lead is getting me absoluletly nowhere.

The way you guys are talking about Alex is only reinforcing my idea that he is going to be the one to save them all in the end.

As I always wish to help, should i conatct Alex on Youtube and start going all pyschologist on him? I would start nice and easy.

Good idea. Don't push the slender stuff yet though, we don't want to scare him off...

I'm thinking the HYBRID-trust email should probably contain no explicit "we're totally trying to undermine HABIT but shh" stuff. That goes without saying but I just wanted to be sure. XD

Try not to mention anything dead.

That's re: Alex, natch.
