 		"Keep your body breathing". It's oddly-phrased, for HABIT, I mean.

Perhaps, he wants them to do something specific, rather than just live it out.

Maybe, as a part of his sick humor, he wants to see some rabbits full of holes.

Yeah, that is weird. I thought it just meant that he wanted the bodies breathing - no mention of who would eventually end up in the driver's seat. I still don't think anything good can be in store for the winner...

I think he can care less about people, and he wants some ritual murder.

Think about the way these trials have escalated.

Taking something precious to you, and burying it.

Electing one of your own higher, but then sending one of your own down.

"Lose a friend, by any means necessary".

Recite a poem in public, A poem which screams "fuck you, society and innocent people."

Create something that means something to someone else, and then destroy it.

Lead a protest to take down the current "despot", and elect HABIT.

Now, "Keep your body breathing."

It doesn't fit the common trend of HABIT.

This is something along the lines of what I was pondering post-panic last night. The phrasing has to be intentional. The instructions are not "DON'T DIE." There's something a little more ominous about "KEEP YOUR BODY BREATHING."

 		Something really scary is coming up. People will respond about how they stopped breathing for a ssecond in terror, or it'll be playing off the phrase 'don't hold your breath' (with the updates, don't hold your breath for them, they take a while). Habit will fuck you over like that.

No, but seriously, it seems that the final number of remaining rabbits (7) is important... after all we've seen the number 7 referenced a few times before in HABIT'S little "gifts".

Perhaps the deal he is working out with the S-man is an exchange... 7 new "fish", new pawns for His game... in exchange for taking the remainder of the old players (the mining town four, Dr. Corenthal, Linnie and HABIT perhaps?) out of the cycle. I'm sure HABIT would prefer not to have to go back to the candleverse.

It does. When you hang from outstretched arms like that, your body physically can't breathe. You have to push yourself up to allow your chest to expand, and die when you get too tired to push up.

This might accualy have some truth in it. i was rereading the messages between rabbits and HABIT and some obvious parts stuck out at me. like his answer to the question of what was the point of the trials being bluntly stated as "BODY COUNT" , and his reply to if no rabbits remained in the end being "YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF: WHAT ARE YOU ALL PLAYING FOR, TO BEGIN WITH?
IF NO CONTESTANTS REMAIN, THESE TRIALS WILL COME TO AN END.
AS LONG AS THERE ARE MULTIPLE RABBITS, THE GAMES SHALL GO ON.
HOPE I HAVE CLEARED A FEW THINGS UP"

he needs "multiple rabbits", since he doesnt state the last remaining to be winner. this may be just a filtering process after all to pick rabbits that may be useful to him.
