Here, I fixed your post.

I think HABIT just enjoys letting people think they're getting a leg up on him with all their stories, so it's that much more satisfying when he ruins them. Seems like something he'd do.

Seems like something we can exploit.

Then it would probably be better not to air our plans here on the boards. And don't share it with grieck, he's set to do what HABIT tells him since DUBIOUS.

Kempest, if you have any ideas as to how get a leg up on HABIT, PM me with ideas.

Everyone. If things were not serious before, they are now. It's time for us to start acting covertly. Any action taken against HABIT has to be kept private and to a limited number of people.

I may have some ideas about this too. If anyone is interested, please PM me via UnFiction since I'm not going to be in Angora chat very much this month, though if you can catch me in there, that's fine too.

We all know what to do with a rabid dog. Let's put this son of a bitch down.

Yes. This. Underground anti-HABIT attack team. But seriously, do you think it's even possible for a group of internet dwellers to take on a being as potentially dangerous as HABIT? It's ripped apart entire police squads, I doubt we can even poke him hard enough to hurt. In all seriousness, good ideas should probably be sent to the EMH guys, or maybe the remaining rabbits, somebody who is going to actually have contact with HABIT in the near future (and hopefully not get possessed).

As a matter of fact, I do. You're obviously not interested in doing anything though, so I shan't tell you a thing about my plans. Razz

Not doing anything is my speciality. But then again cynicism and apathy don't go well with plans that could very well fail. But good luck on your ghost killing adventure. I was hoping for Evan to stab HABIT to death, or something, but I guess being killed by the internet is a poetic enough death for HABIT.

Oh, its very likely that it will fail. In fact, I expect it to. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't try. \o/

Well... You are dealing with a paranormal entity that can rip out your innards (or possess you and rip out your friends' innards). Perhaps caution should be exercised here, since self-preservation is the name of the game here.

That being said, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Have fun...

I still think that this Smiling Man -- HABIT possessed dudes -- sound(s) a lot like Fairmount!Vince's "The Man."

I love how you assume HABIT will have me make good on my word. I honestly don't expect him to, but if you'd rather me kept out of the loop than so be it. Makes sense at least, I plan on keeping true to my word.

Be interesting to see if you really can come up with anything that'll work.

I thought it was a trope and went 'aGoogling.

It's Just The Way I Type When On Message Boards or Forums. It's Just My Thing. I Am Not A Trope, And I'm Not Part Of The Game. It's Just My Thing.

But Seriously, Things Are Starting To Get Exciting Again, Especially Seeing As HABIT's Abilities Seem To Be Confirmed, And We Now Have At Least And Idea Of What He's After.

Some have asked why has HABIT defined himself.

Frankly,I think this is him saying "its already too late".  Think about everything that's happened, I can't think of one goddamn thing that's tripped HABIT up. It's plan has been going on without a hitch, whatever that plan is.
I can't help but to think that with this trial, Evan, and Nicholas, he's got all his pieces. I think he's preparing it, perhaps some things are unfinished, but I think he is really close to finishing this grand scheme.

And then Slenderman calmly walks in and scatters all his nicely organized pieces and then proceeds to end HABIT the instant before his grand plan is realized. This. Must. Happen. All HABIT's buildup, all his planning, swept away in one grand move by mister faceless. It would be epic!

I tend to shy away from "Wouldn't it be awesome if?" ideas, preferring to let the creators unfold their plans, and I won't say "This Must Happen" because I'm not convinced it makes sense in EMH's Big Picture. But if it does happen and it does make sense, this would be *amazing.* I love that EMH has branched out to include other villians; it's all been very enjoyable and very well done. But I'd love to see the series come full-circle with Slendy flexing as the Ultimate Villian or Supreme Power. (On the flip side, if the Candleverse scene turns out to be Slendyvision and he's reduced to a Voyeur Nuisance, I'll be disappointed. But I think that's unlikely.)

Wow. I just have to say, that new Habit post would make an AWESOME scene in a movie.
Eh, maybe a Michael Bay flick.

I can't say I'm thrilled by all the action movie stuff that's been creeping into the mythos lately. I find it particularly jarring in vlogs because the limitations of the medium mean you can't really have the sort of high-octane action sequence of the sort described in that blog post on-camera, so you have to resort to stuff like the blog posts to describe them so the stuff that happens on-camera seems kind of tame compared to what's going on in your blog.

I mean, the strength of the vlog format is that it's perfect for low-key, subtle horror. I think it's kind of a shame that so many vloggers are steering away from that.

I agree... But only for other, less sprawling series. It makes sense for stories with Slenders as the One True Villian to stick with one genre--whichever genre best suits their primary medium (ie vlog). Stepping out of that genre is jarring, especially if the creators use a newly established supplemental medium to do it (ie starting a blog mid-game, suddenly writing long emails, etc.). That just calls attention to the primary medium's limitations. I could give a recent example, but I don't want to cause offense. Confused

However... If any series could successfully span genres, it's EMH. Their story has room for different genre approaches because they have more than one monster. IMO, each monster kinda has its own flavor already: Creeping, subtle paranormal terror makes sense for Slenderman. HABIT's also supernatural, but his bombastic, in-your-face character fits the dark superhero/terrorist/serial killer action genre. The Rake gives me a creature feature vibe, or maybe body horror, depending on your theory.

Plus, each EMH medium--vlog, email, CYSTW, etc.--was introduced smoothly  and is used often enough to avoid coming off as supplemental. Feels to me like HABIT *chose* to use CYSTW for this story, not that the creators *had* to.

All that said, Slenderman is still my favorite of the 3, which is why I want him to wind up being the Ultimate Power. I'll always prefer terror over action, and reading action over watching it. Just my $0.02.
