Something relevant: saw on the TV Tropes page that some observant HYBRID put this down:

Evan's forearm gets clawed by the Rake in "One Step Forward, Two Steps Back." In every video since, the bandages begin to cover more and more of his arm. In "Noah," the bandages cover from wrist to shoulder. Unknown if this is an infection, psychological compulsion, or just Evan making a fashion statement.

Something worth an email?

Definitely an interesting note, but I don't know about this. The Rake scratched up Alex too and soon thereafter, he was fine, no spreading of anything, it seems.

On the other hand, Alex doesn't have HABIT gnawing on his brain. We won't lose anything trying to pursue it.

Maybe you should do this one. Evan did respond to the last email I directed toward him, but the response was pretty rage-y.

What do we want to say, exactly? Do we want to hint or come right out and say we're wondering if he might be suffering from some sort of spreading infection? Not that there's any symbolism there, no sir! Wink

If it would help I'll send it. I have had no previous contact with EMH so I don't think they would be frustrated to see an email from me.

I think it might be a good idea to keep it to a general inquiry about his health and how everyone has been holding up in this period of quiet. I'll BRB with a draft letter.

ETA: Thanks AngryDeepground, but I think I'll take this one. <3

derp, draft letter

Quote:
Hi everyone. (I'd put down a smiley or something to break up the sobriety, but I don't want to seem trite. Also, I'm just kind of assuming that Jeff will be the one reading this since he seems to handle most of your online correspondence.)

The current bout of quiet hasn't stopped us from thinking and worrying about you. From the radio silence, we're assuming that nothing too terrible has happened. Hopefully this quiet and peace will continue. I can't imagine what it's like for you, to have to live through these unpredictable periods. It seems that you're holding up as well as can be expected though, which does all of you great credit.

Not much to say in this note, except to pass on our continued support and well-wishes, and to ask if there's anything you can share with us. We've noticed that in the meet-up with Noah, Evan's bandage is covering more and more of his arm -- is everything alright? or have the injuries gotten worse? He's seen a doctor about those gashes, right? Has antibiotics in case there's a blood infection or something?

And everyone else, are you alright too? Is school working out for everyone? Has Alex improved at all?

I'll let you get back to your lives. Hope to hear from you soon in some form or other.
<3

P.S.
Please tell Vincent that you guys are not damaged goods. There will be none of that kind of ridiculous talk.

Hmm. No, not really. Not much of a singer these days.

This may go in the OT thread, but I thought I'd bring this up here.

Go back and watch the Introduction video. Now fast-forward and watch something recent.

Don't the guys all look much older? Like, more than just the year that's passed?

Fighting Slendies will age you faster than smoking and tanning combined. True fact.

But after spending five years at a university library's reference desk, watching the same faces pass by year after year, I don't see anything really unusual about their aging. Most guys seem to hit a patch of rapid maturation sometime between 18 and 22, and it looks like EMH has coincided with the cast's.
