I don't think HABIT is anyone's child, which is why I used the word 'proverbial.' He may have been created, but I don't think his origins really matter -- what does matter is what he's doing and under whose command. If he was given the trials as a toy to occupy himself with, it might explain a few things.


I suppose that's poor wording on my part. I put the words birth and parent in parenthesis because I didn't realy have a better word right then. I don't actually believe some female in a far off land actually carried him around for nine months, certainly not. I was considering the "parent" to be whatever mad doctor made a terrible mistake and formed him. Unless he really did originate from FM!Evan and took on a mind of its own.

HABIT might've been under someone's command at some point, but it seems like he's gone solo for now. That could change in the future though, depending on if someone/thing could overpower him.
On the otherhand, there is a chance there may be factors we aren't aware of yet and HABIT could truely be someone's pawn.
I suppose both theorys hold ground at the moment. Man, I hate lack of information.

 		"The Monster was happy" is, more or less, a link to the labyrinth from House of Leaves, which goes back to Jeff's obsession with HoL and Animal Collective (via the videos). I still think the 7 remaining Rabbit's are inHABITed/Hababies.

Perhaps pertinent to the question of what's happening within Evan?

Specifically, "The two within" and "the war within", both as evidence that Evan has more than one entity within his mind.

 		I find the "Habit is Slenderman's child" idea interesting. Even though no one said it directly, that's obviously where this line of thinking is going.
Regardless, Habit v.s. Evan will clearly play a very important role in the future.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for the final HABIT vs Evan match to the death, beginning with physical violence and ending with a mental struggle, without an immeadiate clear winner. At least that's how it happens in my head.

That's probably not how it will actually go down, but nonetheless there will be a violent match between the two at some point. What we have seen now (Nick vs Evan) is only a small battle within the war.

I'm just hoping it doesn't end with a standoff on somebody's roof where Jeff has a gun and has to shoot the real Habit even though Evan and Habit(who, for the sake of my rant, has a physical shell identical to Evan) are both very dangerous.

 		Certainly the month long gaps inbetween videos are obviously all part of the "plan" for this series but when we get entries like HALLOWEEN HANGOVER and OUTSIDE HELP, the tension and anticipation for what's going to happen next drive me a little crazy and thoughts continously chase themselves around my head!

Vinnie and Evan are desperately trying to convince themselves and each other that what happened with Nick could all have been some bad dream or hallucination when we, the audience, can clearly see the evidence of Evan's injuries and the video footage. No doubt they will head to Baldpate mountain to investigate and I can only wonder if they will actually find a body (or something else) there.

Then there are the pinhole cameras. The fact that Vinnie knew immediately what Evan was describing made me wonder if he himself had just found one in his own home. How many cameras will the boys find and will there be more "private" footage released to YouTube before they find them all?

I'm going to make a bold statement here so please take this as me just throwing out some affirmatives. In "Alex", Vinnie's phone is found in Alex's closet after Evan shows the surveillance footage. And now, Vinnie's extensive knowledge of the pinhole cameras does put him in a precarious position. Can we say, as an absolute, that Vinnie, under whoever's influence, was responsible for the camera footage in the Jeff and Alex's house?

 		I don't think we can say absolutely that Vinnie is responsible for all of the secret camera footage, but at this point it seems highly likely. I'd be more shocked at this point if it turned out he wasn't responsible.

 		Glad to see that others are thinking on the same wavelength as this thought occured to me too as I was heading to bed!

"Who put the cameras there?"
"HABIT did it."

But since it's been more or less established that HABIT has no corporeal form and is actively looking for a permanent body to call his very own then there could easily be a twist here that Evan/Vince/Jeff or, hell, EVERYONE has fallen under the "influence" and bugged each other then been made to forget about it!
