Ummm, maybe I'm just being a paranoid newbie here, but...

Assuming HABIT can access all the e-mails just by inHABITing the boys, couldn't "cheating" like this just put Vinny as the next guy on the list to get a personal beatdown like Evan's?

It's not really our asses that the bastard will mess up if he thinks we're breaking the rules of his little game, and Vinny would probably get off even worse in a fight than Evan did (as V doesn't seem to be being groomed as a body for HABIT like Evan is).

Of course, I suppose all three of them are going to be attacked at one point or another, anyway.

Interestingly none of the "broken rules" from that video were about us. They were about Noah, and things of that nature. Remember, according to the background image on Steph's blog, we are as much in the game as they are.

Perhaps I'm mistaken then. I thought I saw a part in OUTSIDEHELP that showed Jeff holding up a disc sent to him by someone from these forums, the one that triggered their child-like regression?

Like I said before, I'm probably just a bit paranoid. V is sorta my favorite member of the EMH crew, for some reason I can't quite pin down, so I'd hate to see him get attacked as bad as Evan was.

Update: Just double-checked, OUTSIDE HELP opens (after the conversation with Nick) on a shot of Jeff holding up the disk from The Hidden Videos.

You're not wrong. I just don't particularly care. They need as much knowledge as possible, and we need to give it to them. If HABIT doesn't like it, than boo-fucking-hoo. He won't kill them, and that's what matters. If he's so desperate to stop this sort of thing, than he's welcome to come down to Texas and have a little chat with me about it. Until then, I'm not going to stop.

Oh jeez, sorry! I wasn't trying to make it seem like I thought you were doing a dumb thing; Bending the rules to help the guys seems like the smartest thing to do right now, I was just expressing my worry. HABIT seems to be getting either desperate or impatient, so I just wanted to put in my two cents. Embarassed

Way I see it, we can't really control what HABIT does. We just gotta keep trying to help them in any way we can and if he takes exception, that's on him, not us. Anyway, we've never seemed to count as "outside" help before, focus on that DVD aside, and I'm pretty sure nobody's gonna try to do something like that again any time soon.

Anyway, great letter, Lui. Hope Vin keeps responding! xD

Correct, in part at least... CoffeeCollie/Ben is not a uF member, (that I am aware of anyway.) I'm not sure where he came in from. I forgot about that shot though...

Oh, sweetie, you didn't do anything wrong. To be honest I hadn't even thought that HABIT might interpret it as breaking the rules. I was going through some dramallama with my university when I made that post, so I didn't really think about what I was saying.

You're right to worry (and hey, I'm totally down with anyone that has Vinnie as their favorite character.) It's just that in these situations, you have to weigh doing what's right against staying safe. (Not that there's anything wrong with wanting to be safe. It's just that risks are necessary too.)

Anyway. Good words on your part Stoicheio, and thanks for the compliment. If we get a reply (and that's always a big if) I'd expect it starting around sometime tomorrow; I sent this pretty late in the day, and it's a lot of information to take in.

HABIT can watch me practice my seductive striptease then: I call it "The Sitting in My Chair Pigging Out on Peanut Butter Dance." It's very popular in burlesque clubs.

I always felt that the Rake was the oldest shell used by HABIT, mostly to rape and spread his seed. It fits the bill, if you're read about the paintings. Maybe HABIT used one person for so long, it became the Rake. The Rake proved to be powerful, but it lacked a sense of mental willpower, and so he went in search of another shell that was just as strong. Perhaps Evan's ability to have strong mental willpower is ideal for HABIT, who may use him to get one over Slendy.

Meh, speculation.

I like this theory. I like it a lot.

EDIT: I almost forgot. I sent this:
Quote:
Hey.

It might not seem important, profound, or even useful, but with all the trouble lately, it seemed like something that needed to be said:

Good luck. We're all hoping you make it out okay.

I don't figure I'm accomplishing anything here, but it's probably nice to hear. And if nothing else, it might remind them whose side we're on.
