Slayr's idea is good theory.

The biggest thing about this is that there is no straight-forward weirdness. Slenderman, episodes of inHABITation, or Raking not seen,



but of course we saw the screen-cut in that talk with Jeff and Vince in the car.

That usually signifies the presence of Mr. Tall, but he wasn't seen.

I have a theory on that, concerning our friends, and that driver that nearly jackknifed them. If the slenderman truly is on there side, and wants nothing to happen to them, what if he did something to prevent that crash, like tug/push the car away, or did that dimensional displacement magic that he is so found of?

i admit i don't have much to add to the discussion, but i wanted to add my two cents re: the pregnancy subplot anyway, since i don't feel like posting it to my tumblr or whatever.

basically, i'm kind of squicked out by pregnancy in general, so any of my distaste for this plot point stems from that. i also see it as less "jumping the shark" than an example of "yep, we totally went there." so while i'm squicked, i am still interested to see how it plays out.

Hello. Not really new here, just thought Christmas break would be a good time to finally make an account.

Have we considered what happens to them between iterations? Are they automatically reincarnated, or is there possibly some sort of "limbo" period in-between? After all, Corenthal, Linnie, Rose etc. are presumably dead and have not yet come back. So where are they now? Just something I was pondering.

Just a couple of observations here...

I'm assuming that the party is occurring after Steph found out she's (maybe) pregnant.

Does Evan seem more distant toward her, or angry or disappointed considering? Nope, he seems almost more possessive (dragging her to the party, where she seems decidedly unenthusiastic) if not really concerned with treating her romantically in any way.

But HABIT showed an interest in her early on, sending her clues among other things... Could Evan's interest in her be an extension of Habby's?

At the party he seems pretty childish (Vince play santa) and selfish (wanting his prezzy first, not paying for Steph's present) and almost manic in his gleefulness in contrast to everyone else's kind of subdued behavior. Sounds a bit like a certain smiley person we are well acquainted with...

Ya Evans behavior was off. For example do people, even Evan act that way getting a knife, it just strikes me as odd.

But what really worries me is giving him a knife in the first place. HE KILLED A GUY, it begs the question, have the guys even bothered to tell steph that. It just seems like Horror movie 101, don't give the maniac a knife.
