(FINALLY caught up. Yaaay)

Gonna throw out a tree/theory, disregard if you've heard something similar.

Is anyone familar with the 52 concept from DC comics? The whole "there are multiple earths that coexists/ are different versions'?
What if something like that is happening/has happened?

Like, when DC first started the Justice League comics, they introduced Earth Two, where all the original versions of heroes still lived and adventured (The Flash, Green Lantern, etc).
When Black Canary's husband died, the JLA invited her back to their earth to sort of ease the pain (and because the writer's wanted to fold her into the main continuity).

....so what I'm getting at - Slendy / Corenthal are from "earth two" and have flocked over to "earth one" where the children didn't die, or maybe like, the "EMH universe" is in the middle of a "Crisis" and Tall Dark and Scary and his Garden Tool companion are trying to fuck with this "continuity"?

Or something like that.
Think I'm just going to stick to explaining symbology

I gotta admit, not a lot of people can out-comic nerd me, but I had to google your reference there. (Not big on the Marvel family myself. More of a Marvel Knights-whatever DC calls their street level heroes type myself.)

Slendy could also severe as a sort of Mxyzptlk type. Now if only the boys can get him to say his name backward...

There's no obscurity to that reference. The reason the fifty two earths are different is because Mr. Mind ate parts of their history.

Damn that sounded just as stupid in my head as it does in a text box. The fact that it was awesome is a testament to how good the writing on 52 could be.

Damn. Sounds like I really need to read 52 then.

On topic - How goes the trials rabbits?

So HABIT is Psycho-Pirate?

The trial is in a lull. There hasn't been any significant word since the culmination of Trial Two/Round One. We've had a promise that upcoming Trials will be more physical, but we're not really sure what that means. I'm wondering if HABIT might have rented a PO box in Princeton for these purposes, though.

We're expecting another video within the next two weeks, but we seem to be otherwise in a sort of dead space.

Hate to say it but thank GOD. I don't know if I would have ever caught up if things had been continuous like they were back when for a bit.

So speculation on the next trial? We know it will be more "physical", and HABIT keeps mentioning stripping away humanity...
I have this feeling it's going to be something creepy.

The trials aren't going too badly tbh. We know the next set will involve something physical rather than voting so at a guess it'll be more recording which I can only hope my phone does well seeing as my disc drive now HATES anything put into it and causes my computer to have a nervous breakdown, throw a complete bitch fit, punish me with a BSOD then not want to work for a few days.

Oh I found us! Yaay!
Not much to say, other than that every morning I have a new email I promptly experience a brief moment of panic.

I know how you feeeel.

And for future reference, if you need to get the EMH-player's attention for something off-topic, do it in the EMH off-topic thread, not here. We all pay plenty attention to it.

Not sure what you mean by that, sir. It was merely a greeting.

Anyways, finally caught up on this thread. The "tragic hero" thing has been stuck in my head but I never made much sense of it other than the obvious intent- that was an excellent analysis of it though. Now I have to wonder about "unattainable companion". My instinct is someone they cannot know, or maybe even "see" somehow, i.e. HABIT- for those still wondering about when he entered this rigmorale. Seems a good enough indicator? Which video was that again? Slushpops? Clearly if HABIT sent it, again assuming HABIT knows where the "Corenthal chest" is...

Was the shot of the forest in "EverymanHYBRID #1 - Introduction" faked? They can see it because they left a annotation but if it was faked why haven't they changed it?
