Totally OT to pass the time: And now, this brand new PS3 I just bought tonight...for work...will not open the disc tray. I see no button or instruction in the manual indicating how to eject or open it with the controller. When I walk over to the machine and press the little button three beeps sound.

What the fuck.

As much as I delight in the British ability to just throw the word around willy-nilly, I will admit that my puritanical American ways still made me gasp a bit when you dropped the C-bomb into the conversation. And then I clutched my lace handkerchief and fainted dead away until roused by smelling salts. It is seen a little different over here, I think.

I will admit TNC can come on a little strong at times but I've come to think of it as sheer performance art or something and not take it seriously. He doesn't offend me but I can see where some might get upset. Besides, that chest.

ETA: Much to my humiliation, I did figure the PS3 out. Now all I have to do is see if I can run HDMI cables properly through this tiny Vizio HD TV. All I get is the message flashing "not support!"

I'm American. I just view it that way myself. The word's only going to be some terrible thing if you let it be. Of course I understand the offense from a lot of different perspectives (feminist, religious, whathaveyou -- it's "taboo") and probably shouldn't have used that exact wording.

But, yeah. Complex, I actually mostly agree with you on this whole HABIT debate now. If you tone it down I will. Or not, but I can't read sarcasm well either.

G.I.R has a magnificent point there. I really never took it sheerly as Jessa if only because I was still on the not enough info the make anything concrete.
If HABIT meant to imply a specific person don't you think with the way he's spoken before he would have just name dropped. I wonder if it is more of his way of saying not everything is always as we assume it to be.

He's done enough before I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again. So we wait on a response to qaqa and we see what information we get. Then we wait and see what happens with HABIT and his actions and former talk.
