Y'know, maybe try to find Alex/Sarah/Brian/Seth/Tim? And why hasn't TTA/Masky done anything yet? FFFFFFFFF

The trees look different.
If you look at the trees in the pic and then the ones in the vid, you can see that the ones in the pic are alot fuller.

well I don't think it is the same place but the reason for the trees is the picture was taken in the spring/summer.It might be a place he has to goto later or is near noenrty

For the most part, I agree. But I think we all know that during one of these entries, Masky is just going to come out of nowhere and change everything.

 		I see it too...

The only thing is, with the symbols scratched in, the numbers in white and the curvy line in purple as well as the 'n' and 'o' aren't scratched in nearly as hard as the other letters and lines. Also, it looks like different tools were used to scratch WAKEup and the two or three big, long lines to the right of it than were used for the other ones.

I have to wonder if the guy was a red herring, or will show up again. Circumstance suggests to me that he's probably a red herring -- all of that setup was just brilliant, especially because it didn't actually GIVE us anything, and illustrated pretty well how paranoid Jay has gotten used to being -- but the amount of time they spent on it leaves me wondering a bit if they'll bring him back. Time will tell.

Might we finally get some character development? Will he learn to talk to girls in hotels without coming across as a creeper? God, will he learn how to be a half-decent liar? (I learned not to contradict my own fib when I was like FIVE. Jeez, Jay.)

Most of all, does her comment mean that she, too, has been subject to the Operator's influence? Because at this point, that's looking to be almost certainly the case, whether that means she's been brainfucked or she's found a way not to get brainfucked.

Which in turn raises really interesting questions about them happening to be in the same hotel, RIGHT BESIDE each other, when Jay awakened. Maybe she's lost seven months too. Maybe he was seeking her out before he awoke -- maybe he found her, got the room beside her, and did whatever it was that woke himself up intentionally... god only knows why, though. I suspect that it's either they were working together before Jay 'awoke' and they ARE in the exact same boat, with the same months missing, after teaming up while out of it. Either that, or one of them was looking for the other before Jay awoke, and their proximity was what snapped him out of whatever he was in.

She just doesn't seem sinister enough to me to be someone who wants to cause him harm. Then again, that could be her game...

Ugh, so many possibilities. This is going to be RAD.

 		Double post time!

Okay, gave the entry a more thorough watch-through. That "trail" marker at the beginning was so weird. It looked like it has been driven into the tree with some force. Now, I don't think it's relevant, it was just weird.

It sounds to me at 3:19 (creepy rusty pool bro) that Jay says "it's starting to rain" or "is that rain?", but his tone of voice doesn't seem to indicate a question so I have to go with the first. But yeah, even when he looks up, there doesn't seem to be any rain coming down on him, and the sky looks clear-ish. Maybe the drizzle is just so gentle that he's not getting any on the lens -- there wasn't a lot of it coming down on the pool, anyways. (*edit* haha, sniped by Jaytenthousand.)

It seems to go:
-Jay starts out his trail walking with trail dude close behind him
-Jay bolts off of the trail and hides while trail dude and his ipod placidly trot on ahead
-Jay is by himself for a while again
-Trail dude shows up standing around again later.

Trail dude seems to be on Jay's ass pretty much from the beginning of the period of time we see Jay following the trail. There's no way he didn't see Jay take off running on the trail ahead of him, too... then again, he didn't seem to give a crap about it when he did.

The thing I find weird is that Jay catches up to trail dude. The light seems to have changed at least some from the point at which Jay hid and let him go ahead, and when Jay finds him standing there. Could he have been standing there, frozen for some reason, for a while? When I switch my song on my ipod, it takes me like a fraction of the time that it takes trail dude there. There IS a point around 2:54 where I keep thinking we can hear far-off crunchy leaf footsteps, though, so maybe Jay just wasn't far behind and the unusually long pause let him catch up.

Argh, I'm torn! I want to say he's not a relevant part of the entry, just an excuse to show Jay's paranoia, but I can't rightly discount trail dude entirely.

Also, listen to the audio around 4:18. I swear to god I hear Jay mutter "turn around you motherf--". I must be wrong.

I love the look Jay gives the camera after trail dude walks away, like, "well that was dumb". Aww, he's interacting with the camera (and by extension, us).

I'm lovin' the wee teeny pipe-and-Slendy diorama that Jay found there, too.

It's also interesting to watch the dynamic of his interaction with Jessica this time around. She starts out very aggressive, until she confronts him with the changes in his story and he starts getting defensive and retreats. After that she seems almost gentle. I mean, for her. When he gives that "no", she backs off with surprising immediacy, almost as if she's disappointed by the answer. Which, if she's reaching out to someone she's hoping is going through the same thing as she is, would be totally appropriate.
