In all honesty...I'm not sure what to make of this episode. I skipped the Jessica part because I hate her. I'm just kind of sad because I...well, I expected more plot than I got. But that's tension for you.

Aww, if you skipped the Jessica part, you skipped most of the plot-stuff! Have you been keeping up with the speculation? Having her ask "have you been experiencing memory loss or anything?" was a pretty big reveal, plot-wise.

There isn't a single drop on that camera lens.

 		Now children, what have we learned today?

1. Jay absolutely SUCKS at lying.

2. Jessica has knowledge of what scientists have named "H1-MH", also known as Slender-sickness

3. Guys should NOT wear bright blue pants at any time, you look like a girl.


Now, my only question is thus:

What was that guy doing in the park? It almost looked like he was mourning at a grave, but there was nothing like that in sight.

The way I understood it was that there were multiple intersecting trails throughout those woods and when Jay ran away from trail dude, he just went on some other path. I imagine Jay was in the woods for a lot longer than we saw (maybe hours) and just didn't find much of interest, and it's not unlikely that he would cross paths with trail dude again if the trails were as intricate as Jay implied.

As for him just standing still for over a minute, the only thing I can think of that takes that long to do would be making a playlist or something like that. It's still odd that he would be perfectly still like that with music playing, not even nodding his head or anything, but I don't think there was anything supernatural about it. I doubt we'll be seeing him again.

For the record, I suspect that you're right on all counts, and that there's nothing sinister about Jay's encounters with trail dude. Still, something about this has my spidey senses tingling like whoa.

I think after the memory loss question, it's almost certain that Jessica is involved with the operator in some way, probably as a victim like Jay. So that makes me wonder, what's the likelihood of two slender-afflicted people being in hotel rooms next to each other for mysterious reasons at the same time by chance?
I'm pretty sure that the only explanation of the rooms being next to each other is that Jay and Jess were affiliated in some way before Jay's memory loss. I expect (my main theory) that Jess and Jay were working together in some way in dealing with or investigating the Operator, and while they were staying at their hotel together, they both got hit by a longterm memory loss bomb. This would also explain why Jay's name sounded familiar to Jess, remember that?
I also considered that maybe Jay was following Jessica while investigating this whole mystery, and then was then struck by memory loss, but that wouldn't explain why Jess was familiar with his name.
Or, Jess (possibly as either TTA or masky) was/is following Jay. But this would mean she's been playing dumb about not knowing him this whole time, which she isn't displaying signs of, and wouldn't explain the memory loss question. She would know very well about that if she'd been following him.

The second two theories shouldn't be totally discounted, but based on Jay's name sounding familiar, and the question about memory loss, I'm sticking to the first one as by far the most likely.

Doubtful, the hoody in the twitpic is probably brown, but due to the lighting it is hard to say.

We need to find a map of the trails. The amount of forks in the trails will help us determine whether the trail guy was being suspicious (as Jay thought) or whether Jay is just being overly paranoid.

It is probably the later, but it would be best to cover all our bases.

I don't think the park in-game is the same as the location they filmed at OOG. I think someone said they looked up Rosswood Park and the only result was in Sacramento.

 		I'd kind of like to know why the hell this guy is walking a badly maintained trail in the middle of nowhere at dusk with headphones on (apparently making it impossible to hear people shouting at him) by himself while wearing skintight bootcut jeans?

None of it makes sense, no sane person (save for Jay) would go into the woods like that by themselves, even if Trailguy has a knife on him the fact that he can't hear anything and is seemingly oblivious to people around him would render the weapon useless.

As much as I'd like to believe Trailguy is a red herring, there's too much to dig into around him. His tone when he asked "Can I help you?" was very even, he didn't sound frightened or even surprised that Jay had walked up behind him and might've had a weapon or been planning on stabbing him. He didn't even look surprised, just kind of pissed that he was being spoken too.

And those jeans! Something is obviously wrong there... what guy in their right mind would go out like that? Those certainly aren't proper attire for walking through the woods.

I think something's up with this guy.

Well, that's the only one google maps knew about at least. There could very well be other Rosswell parks. I just knew this one wasn't it since it's smack-dab in the middle of a residential zone.

I have quite a few OOG concerns about the rain, since, you know, predicting exactly when it would start raining would be quite the skill. If it wasn't actually raining though, then that could explain the reason why the lens wasn't wet. Just something overlooked. Though, even if the rain was actual rain, I suppose it wouldn't discount it from being relevant. Happy accidents and all that.

If I step over too many lines, feel free to move anything meeting that description to the off topic thread or call me on it.
