This series is failing. Season two is nothing more than pointless suspense and drama so far. I might as well watch a soap. Honestly, what was the point of this entry other than to realize Jay is too dumb to remember the lie that he told this girl two weeks ago, and for us to discover Jay is an absolute creeper. Going downhill, I hope it gets better.

we have 4 vids so far in season 2, right? go watch the first 4 vids of season 1. skip the introduction if u want. we have about the same action now as we did then. it's the beginning and they need to lay down the foundation for the location that jay is in. this series best work is in its build up and pay off. imo, they haven't failed to pay off. the uptake might be a little slow but im confident its building up to something epic.

I'd say the point was to show us Jay's increasing paranoia and memory loss, and potentially to suggest that Jessica is having similar symptoms.

This season has tons of potential. Seven months of mystery still unaccounted for, plus the Slendy sighting, plus at least one new character. People are really jumping to judge much too quickly. Let the story develop, have some patience.

they have done more character and location this time around ... using the hotel as the story base was smart as it connects to the end of series 1 and is also a cheap and convenient location to shoot ... i hope they start to inject weirdass elements like endless stairwells and ... a basement ...

Even the cheapest of motels cost $70 a night! That is not cheap. Unless a friend or relative owns the place and its under renovations or something, I can't see how they did anything other than shot ALL hotel footage in 2 days and are using it in entries over time. Anything would be cheaper than a hotel.

Uh, no, season 1 was the beginning of the story. Season 2 is a continuation. It really ought to be building on the momentum season 1 established rather than just crawling.

I disagree. This is a new story arc. Keyword = ARC. It's just not good storytelling to start with a climax. Where are you supposed to go from there? (Apologies for the following nerd reference) Imagine if the Return of the King had started with the Battle of Helms Deep, and had nothing but battles the whole movie...the ending battles wouldn't be nearly as satisfying. I think that a slower pace is the smartest option for the beginning of season two. I understand your opinion, but think of what would have happened if they had stopped at one or two Slendy sightings in season one and then went to the next part in the story arc! I wouldn't care as much about what was happening. We don't know what's going to happen in the rest of the season, so we don't even know what subtle things are happening inside the videos. Remember the coughing? That happened in Entry 5 I believe, and we didn't really know the significance till much later. Give it a chance! Who knows what genius is happening under our noses.

Lolz, I was waiting for someone to make that joke. Anywhoo...we should probably get back on topic, so...

How long until Jay tells Jessica his secrets? I think we all can assume it'll happen eventually.

I don't think Jay will ever tell Jessica cuz I think she is going to die and Jay is going to search her room and find all sorts of goodies Smile

We can only hope.
I've been waiting for this since ep 30, or maybe 29. I ought to quote myself so I can have a big "I SO called it" if it does happen.
Yes I am that petty, shaddup.

I doubt Jessica will die. Nobody has died yet, only disappeared. Though I'm sure the opportunity to search her room is just waiting to come up. I'm imaging something akin to entry 18, maybe including the reappearance of Masky

I wondered about this too to start with but I think we can rule it out. Jess recognises Jay's full name, but only his first name is mentioned in MH - it's even edited out of the video when he introduces himself to Jess.
It would have made an interesting twist in the story though: the new protagonist is an MH viewer just like us! That'd suggest that we're all at risk too! Shocked

I've gotta say, as much as I liked that theory at first, I do see one potentially fatal flaw: If she watched MH, wouldn't she be curious about it still / still be watching it? (Forgive me if this has been brought up before.)

I feel like if she's seen it before, seeing him (with camera) would push her to watch it again, and seeing herself in his videos, I feel like she'd be a bit pushier with him, especially since she's now upset with him to some degree. Could she be watching, and maybe is afraid to mention it? Possibly, but it'd throw off the immersion of the game, I think, to have her in 'our' shoes and also be interacting directly with Jay in real life. [/two cents]

The noises coming from Jessica's room at night are due to something she's doing as a result of her paranoia.
The whole Operator/TTA thing seems to turn people into obsessive compulsives. With Alex and Jay, this was filming themselves 24/7... so what's Jessica's compulsion?

Hard-wiring other room's TVs to flick on and off repeatedly... Making alarm buzzers obnoxiously loud... Moving furniture around the room... Long walks on the beach in Rosswood Park...

Thoughts on Episode 30:

Jessica's room : 209
J's room : 211
(Both rooms have an adjoining door)

Manhole cover pointed out by J as he was walking through the woods : connection to storm-drain from Entry 29?

Rusty looking water in creek : Same as in storm-drain from Entry 29. Follow that river upstream!

Jessica : Freaking out because J is terrible with the ladies, knocks on her door too much, and sucks with lying. The first thought is based partly on his inability to keep his lies straight. Would have to see him lying to a man as well to compare. Oh yeah, memory loss and coughing... the Slenderman can!

Rewatching 29 : Looking at 0:36, it would appear the hill slants down to the right from where the tunnel he's in is situated. Perhaps heading upstream from the creek wouldn't work. However, heading uphill along a trail seems a good idea. Looks like there's a trail just outside the pipe.

I'm almost shocked at how many fat jokes and pants remarks are in this thread. Seriously?

Anyway, I've come to appreciate the suspense and build up that is occurring here. Granted, Jessica's character can sometimes be annoying, but that doesn't take away the fascination, intrigue, and mystery surrounding the situation as a whole. The premise of memory loss is something that has always gripped me with stories, and with the effects of the entire MH experience so far becoming more and more apparent on J (especially his interactions with characters like Trailguy, and even his awkward conversations with Jessica) I think we're being set up for a ride.

Just remember, it's still early, and the possibilities are endless Smile
