Jay isn't just awkward to girls, he's awkward to everyone. He's acting super weird all the time plus can't communicate at all. No wonder he's pissing off everyone.

I'm new here, made the account cause I just now saw Season 2 started -_-

but I just wanted to say, that I'm pretty sure J is slenderman, and "tothepark" is the innocent one being stalked. I mean, who knows what happened in the last 8 months....

....what? How could totheark be the one being stalked by J? He is the one who infiltrated his hotel/home and messed around with the camera. How could J be slendy? Since Slendy is the one who keeps appearing before him and remember when slendy appears infront of alex in the video that was sent to J? J would clearly remember something like that(though there is a small chance he did not).

Nahh bro, not totheark, I meant the kid in the park. Just spitballing. Very Happy

what was Marble Hornets about?Alex might have gotten crazy and is trying to re-create it with Jay and Jessica.
edit:I was bored and was looking up name meanings and found that Alex means "Protector Of Mankind" I bet you $20 that it is a coincidence

It was probably the only tongue-in-cheek thing the creators put in the series, they were basically making fun of pretentious film student movies. It was downright cringe-worthy when you see the actors and hear the lines and script.

As an actor myself I was honestly sitting there wincing as I watched the entry where Brian is doing his lines in the car.

Oh god, I know, right? And I'm the farthest thing from an actor you can get. Even in the gazebo scene when Alex kept interrupting them, sure he was being a douche, but they really were TERRIBLE. *eyes bleed*

I guess that means the real actors did a pretty damn good job, eh? xD

As well as being a pretty funny detail, I also think making it clear that Marble Hornets (as in Alex's film, not the series) was a forgettable, badly-acted, appallingly written turkey was a smart move. If Alex's film had actually been any good or had any genuine depth to it, we'd be wasting time on overanalysing it line by line in the hopes of finding some insight into the Slender Man in it. By making it clear that Alex's movie was just shit and uninteresting it's a neat way of indirectly saying to us "hey, don't stress too much about Alex's film, it's just a plot device".

That's really clever. I know it never even occurred to me to look into the dream within a dream within-- film within a film for clues, and that's probably precisely why. The film was pointless IG and OOG.

Given how much emphasis TTP was given in this last entry, I think it's certain that he'll be back. There's no such thing as an accidental character. If he is a one-off fake, that... speaks poorly of the boys, to me. That's pretty much saying "we know exactly what you want... and you cant have it! Muahahaha!" I think they're much cooler than that. You can only use "will they or won't they?" (in this case actually be honest with one another) as a plot device for so long, and since Jay is in god knows where they have to build up a new cast in the meantime.

Of course, there's always the chance that Slender is luring Jay to Alex with all of this stuff so he can kill them both at once and save valuable stalking time, so he can get back to... wtfever it is that he does in his off time. Watch health-on-a-budget youtube videos or something. Jay will go back to the park and find Alex impaled and wriggling on a tree branch like a worm on a hook, and then they're both fucked.

So... yeah. TL;DR TTP will be back. 8Db

The part that cracked me up was when Alex wanted to leave because he'd seen slendy, and Brian was all "wait, you don't want me to do that again? It totally sucked!"

I'd say the point was to show us Jay's increasing paranoia and memory loss, and potentially to suggest that Jessica is having similar symptoms.

This. Jessica asks about memory loss because it clicks that might be why he has a few different stories of why he's there and she doesn't remember much either. If it were just a curious question, she probably would have been more nonchalant, like, "the fuck is up, you havin memnory loss or somethin?"

Anyone consider the possibility that Jessica knows Jays name from the news? His house burning down was on the news so she may have seen it? Assuming Jay's name was dropped in the report.

Maybe, but it seems weird she would see it when it was a news report at his old residence and she seems to be a native of the area of the hotel. That, and why would she think this J is the same "Jay" in the news? It's a popular name. I think they were in cahoots during those 7 months but the only thing she can recall is a slight memory of some dude named J. She was pretty persistent, she must have knew she knew him from SOMEwhere.

I dunno, I'm a little open to the news thing, considering her reaction was fearful looking enough. Yes the chance is remote if he was far enough away from the state he was in, if he left it at all (can't for the life of me remember what he said about location), but if he's in the same state, a fire like that would get put on the news statewide. Hell, I get stuff about Washington state if I flip to ABC.
