Amandel,
Great even more technology I won't understand, although nicely explained.
I believe Louise has posted all the stuff about Bob. Maybe there are some answers in there.
Well I'm going to see his wife again on Monday evening, she has invited me to dinner.
Wallace.
Maybe Wallace should ask Esmeralda to jog her memory about this "Robert" fella to whom Edward was writing?

So, our protagonist is gay? Explains why his ex is so pissed!
Unless thats Louise writing or I've missed something...
Btw, Pen is also Welsh for "head"...
head hurts?

Heading to Sleepyville and noticed a new upload "six.7z" in Bob's directory. G'Nite all
The third file (a_ab,txt) has a html tag (flux echoes) and a binary string:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
decodes as "unentdecktesLand" which is German for "undiscovered Country" I think
ETA: As JumboTron posted in his spoiler (prev page) the black box reveals this translation as "The Future"
ETA: Am seeing the 2nd file "darlun.1-66" as having 0 bytes. and the 1st file is PW protected.
Also, The online Welsh translator shows "darlun" as "picture, a picture" Y Darlun (The Picture) is a Music Piece

darlun.1-66 is an image file. Give it a .jpg extension and you can see it's a group of books.

Well.. The Fortean Times is #66 from Dec 1992, the lead story is by Richard Milton
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Milton_ (author)
a proponent of cold fusion.
Sort of a weak tie-in, but possibly the "alternative energy" Edward seeks?

and in the most stupid case ever a stolen snowman (made out of snow)
I remember that from the news a few weeks ago!
I've been looking for significant events in 1929 in and around the areas mentioned so far:
Banbury:
http://livebrum.co.uk/2010/12/01/the-aluminium-works-in-banbury-1929-2009 Founding of a large Aluminium works in Banbury 1929:
Wikipedia wrote:
The Northern Aluminium Co. Ltd. or Alcan Industries Ltd. pig and rolled Aluminium factory was opened in 1931 on land the firm had bought in 1929 on the east of the Southam road, in the then hamlet of Hardwick. The Alcan various facilities on the 53-acre site closed between 2006 and 2007 [27]. The factory was demolished between 2008 sand 2009. The laboratory was also demolished in 2009
And thats about it... of course there are bigger national and global changes around that time - but this is the only local one I could find.
Ok, seeing as Ed was on the M4 that means he was either going East to London or West towards Swindon, Bristol and eventually Wales. It seems for the moment that West is probably the most likely option, but thats only mashing together the Welsh we are getting from Bob (Robert?) - there are plenty of "historical" sites near London and the rest of the South East...

Found a map of Ley Lines in England that shows an intersection of 2 lines
right where the Membury Services on the M4 lies. http://www.ancient-wisdom.co.uk/Images/maps/england-large.png The North-South line (#6 The Uffington Ley) could conceivably pass through Banbury, Though it seem too short. At Dragon Hill there is The Uffington White Horse "Considered to be Britain's Oldest Chalk hill figure. It is considered by some to represent a dragon itself." Wallace is still maybe chasing lost pets.
Here are the other lines the site names:
Quote:
English Ley-lines: (Ref: No's refer to lines on the: English Ley-line Map)
There are too many proposed ley-lines in Britain to show them all. The following few are demonstrative only.
St. Michael's Ley (Map Ref: 1) - (Astronomical). Runs across southern England from 'Land's End' to at least Bury St. Edmonds'. Includes Glastonbury, Avebury, Walaud's Bank and The Hurlers.
Stonehenge Ley (Map Ref: 2) - (Astronomical). A 22 mile ley running from 'Castle Ditches' to a series of tumuli on 'Cow Down'. (Bearing 49° 15') (2)
Old Sarum Ley (Map Ref: 3) - 18½ mile alignment from just north of Stonehenge to the 'Frankenbury Camp'. (Bearing 170° 45' - the same azimuth as the Glastonbury leyline. (2)
Glastonbury Ley (Map Ref: 4) - 21 mile alignment running from Brockley to Butleigh. (Bearing 170° 40') (2)
Rudstone Ley (Map Ref: 5) - 10 mile alignment from Willerby to 'South side mount'. (Bearing 142°) (2)
Uffington Ley (Map Ref: 6) - 9¾ mile alignment running from Uffington past Dragon Hill to a round-barrow south of the M4. Crosses the Ridgeway and the St. Michael's ley. (Bearing 4° 20') (2)
Devil's Arrows - Thornborough Leys (Map Ref: 7, - Two alignments with a 'knee-bend' at the Devil's arrows in Yorkshire.
The first ley (Map Ref: 7), starts North at the Thornborough henges and ends at the Devil's arrows. The three Thornborough henges are believed to have been erected around 1700-1400 BC (2), over the pre-existing Thornborough Cursus. While the cursus (NE-SW), indicates a Neolithic 'linear mentality', the ley alignment follows a different azimuth, heading approximately NW-SE past the Nunwick henge towards the Devil's arrows 11 miles away.
The second ley (Map Ref: can be said to start with two of the Devil's arrows, and continues another 5 miles SSE (150° 35'), past the Cana henge, on towards the Hutton moor henge. The Devil's arrows (with at least one missing today) are known to have been transported around 7 miles to their present location (2).
