I actually had some problems with this one at first, but as it went along I started to really enjoy it. I'm a great lover of the mysteries and this one is doing okay. I think I had a big problem with the somewhat poor execution of the hardboiled detective angle, but I think as it went along the blog became more and more like a Watson journal. I'm looking forward to reading more.

So, after receiving part IX of the code's key, I went back to trying to reverse the code to figure out the different phrases that make up the key.

And I'm... pretty damn sure I've got part III.

"WE WAIT AT RIVERS END"

I'm 100% on the "RIVERS" part, at least. Anyone else have thoughts? I'm a bit unnerved about our protagonist's name showing up there.

It could be a coincidence?
He put up a letter he got, which is probably in the same code, although it's organized differently. I guess I should have kept track of which letters went to which triplets instead of just solving it.

It could be, though I'm still a bit dubious.
I have the key saved on my computer; I'm gonna try to see about reorganizing this new code into a readable manner & solving it today. I'll get back to you guys once I've got it. Very Happy

No one else thinks the title sounds like a porno? Oh wait, I thought it said "stimulation"...

*cough*
Right, so.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are an equal number of uppercase Roman numerals and Arabic number - lowercase Roman numeral pairs. So matching them together gives us this:
IX1i III2iii III4i III4v V3ii VII4iii VII2ii III5iii. [VI1ii VII4iii III4ii X1vii III2iii III5ii] I2iv II1i. VIII2i III4i V3ii IX4i. IV1i IV1ii IV1iii. [VI1ii VII4iii III4ii X1vii III2iii III5ii]. X1i VII2ii VIII4vi III2iii IX4iii VII4i. IV1i IV1ii IV1iii. III4i V3ii III3i III5iii. VII1i V3ii. IV1i IV1ii IV1iii. {IV2i III2ii III4vi VII1i VIII1viii VII4v I2iv III3ii II3i IX2i IX4iii}. III2iv IV2ii III4i III4iv III1ii. IV1ii V3ii IX1vi IV2i V2iv. IV1i IV1ii IV1iii. {IV2i III2ii III4vi VII1i VIII1viii VII4v I2iv III3ii II3i IX2i IX4iii}.

Translating that with the key used with the old code, it translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
RIRRORED. [ORIGIN]AL. FROM. THE. [ORIGIN]. BEGINS. THE. ROAD. TO. THE. {DASTINATION}. TAREE. HOLDS. THE. {DASTINATION}.

I. I don't know from there.
Input?

I guess I'm trying to comprehend where you got this from, Dixie. I'll probably read an update and feel stupid, but right now I've a headache, and I'm having trouble concentrating.

So in the course of a silly TT drinking game, I rewatched the Box Analysis video. THE RIVER'S FLOW IS WHERE IT BEGINS. So that might be what notebook author guy (forget his name) was referring to.

I felt it was time to revive the thread, as three new entries have gone up since the last post.

That last one... is something else. I don't even have words at the moment.
Good show, PM, good show.
