Sorry if this has already been brought up, didn't read all the way through yet.

If you go back to entry 32, you can see the pad (paper?) on the desk in the background next to phone that Jay picked up. Also, at the end of the entry it looks like Jay closes his door, but in the process the camera distorts.

Another odd thought. If Masky did have access to the passcode, why didn't he just use it. Could it be that Masky can't get that close to electronic devices. Perhaps the distortions we see are a side affect of this?

Watch carefully, Masky and Jay exit the same room's door

i don't think so. i'm almost certain that Jay runs out the adjoining door, closes that, and runs out of jessica's. but masky runs out of jay's, then makes a bee-line to jessica's.

actually, you're right. Jay comes out of door closest to camera(after he turns around) and masky comes out of the farther one

Maybe there is/was a diary or something along those lines in Jessicas safe. She doesn't seem to have a camera, so instead of her filming herself to keep her memories, she wrote everything down.

Think that would be interesting, and not too far fetched
The more I think about it, the more I love the idea of Jessica having some sort of diary would be awesome. Even better, what if they're letters?

Most of everything we encounter day to day is an 'electric device'. If he couldn't get close to electric devices, chances are 90% of areas would be off limits to him.

I'm more inclined to believe he didn't actually want the tapes-he made no real attempt at taking them and his attack was half-hearted at best.

pardon me - first post and love the thing and have been following the forums but haven't posted before and probably don't have it hardcore down like some of you - but doesn't J's first instance of memory loss occur after the first Masky bumrush in the entry where J returns to the house?

It may be the first contemporary instance of memory loss -- I'd have to go back and check to be sure -- but actually, Jay had been losing time during the original filming of Marble Hornets-the-bad-student-movie. He mentions in #17 at the end that he doesn't remember anything about that day ever happening.

That's a possibility! However, it could also be that Jay was specifically set up by TTA to find the tapes himself for some murky reason.

Mayhaps, but why then wait till now? Why not just go for the tapes himself, open the safe up and go for it. Plus, Masky doesn't seem to be trying to get to the tapes and take them away, but get rid of J, giving him time for who knows what.

After reading this I went and watched some Entrys to see if its likely, and the thing I noticed it, during the filming of MH, Tim, Alex and J were all experiencing the Slendy sickness, then, the filming stops, J goes back to normal, Alex is found to have been safe (until Entry 26 came along) and Tim had no signs of Slendy sickness in Entry 15, not showing any sickness till 16 when attacking J (going by Tim is Masky of course) But with that, it seems everything was fine until J dug up the old tapes and investigated. So this leads to the common point people are saying that TTA or Masky is trying to help J figure out how it was done before, while hiding there identities.

Or is there something else to that, another reason that the sickness seemed to have settled until J brought the tapes out?

I was thinking about the safe code, and read the posts about how it could be 2011 backwards or Jessica's room number, or someone said November 2nd.

I decided to look back through the MH entries and Entry #17 happened to be uploaded on November 2, 2009. Also that entry includes Tim, Jay, Slendy, and is one of the videos that Jay did not remember happening. That all fits in extremely well with what's currently going on. Jay also says he's going back to investigate the house again at the end of that entry so maybe Masky wants him to go back there again.

Sorry if this has already been said.

Don't know if this has come up but the information that he got that was in the safe (tapes and the external hard drive) could be stuff about Jessica and her experience with Slender Man.

Looking at the Masky attack again, [and again and again] I keep thinking about the sissy slap a lot of people are saying happened. Now, when I look at the way Masky was standing, how he moved, and how easily he went down, I have to wonder, is it at all possible that Masky was trying to block J and not hit him? [You know, when you hold up your hand to stop someone?] It looks more like that to me.

Then the chasing bit at the end. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Masky is benign, I don't really know what to make of him, really. I'm starting to think that, maybe, he was there to get J out of the hotel ASAP, not harm him.

Neutral does this make any sense or am I clutching at straws here?

Just a crazy idea, dunno if it has been said yet, but what if Jessica not being in the room when Jay entered it has something to do with the infamous crazy door/room physics from Entry #23?

We have to assume that Jay did pack his laptop before venturing into Jessica's room.

Am I the only one that thinks someone could in fact be framing Tim? If "Masky" is capable of breaking into J's room, what would the difference be from him stealing Tim's jacket? As for the sideburns, I don't know. Anyone can grow 'em, or replicate 'em with fake hair at a costume store.

I mean come on. (and if I'm wrong, I'll feel really stupid.)

But do you think Troy would've been as daft to use someone as easily compared to from the first two Masky experiences?

We've all been wrong before. Anything can be possible in this roller coaster of a series.
