Well that makes sense if you think about it. So the two times he teleported he was going through a door (well the two we have video proof of, at least). I'm trying hard not to start talking about Donnie Darko right now here. Razz

Edit: Awesome I started a new page.

Dear, I've been struggling to not talk about Donnie Darko ever since I found this effing forum. The parallels are sick.

Well, I think the consensus is that if they were warping, then Masky would have made Jay warp into that room to separate him from Jessica or to trick him into thinking Jessica went missing/was kidnapped when in actuality she's still in her room.

In fact, this would explain why Masky would want to chase Jay out of the hotel; if Jay had time to leisurely stroll out of the hotel, he would probably notice that it wasn't his own room or Jessica's that he was walking out of.

Well, that speculation was based under the possibility of it still being Jessica's room. However, I don't believe there can be any doubt that it was his room that he walks back into, as his flashlight is sitting on the bed. To me, the only actual time there is probably space shenanigans is when they exit into the hallway.

To break it down:
1. Jay starts in room A
2. Jay moves to room B, and finds combination
3. Jay races back to room A (possibly a new room, but again, due to flashlight on bed, it is unlikely)
4. Masky attack
5. Jay enters Room B, closing the door to Room A behind him.
6. Race into hallway.

I would say the only time that physics looks the other way is at 6, with A being Jay's room, and B being Jessica's. This of course is only workable if Masky also warps Jay's door to come out the room next door. But I don't think there's any real explanation of it besides that A = Jay's Room.

I'm convinced that the film in question is responsible for at least half of the tropes in MH. (See my entry #32 water theory.)

Hmmm, point taken, it also appears J's bag was lying next to the safe, he didn't pick it up. *just rewatched the entry* Hrm.
I'll take a wild guess and say Masky SOMEHOW quickly moved J's things into Masky's own adjoining room...XD

Also, can anyone figure out what the white thing on the floor around 2:01 is? Looks like a towel, but I can't really tell and it's bugging me right now. xP

Here's a screen cap:

It's probably nothing, but I MUST KNOW. xD

*watches it again* Wait... did Masky just... move from one end of the room to the other in a split second? Digital undercranking or is the room just that small?
Eh, I'm probably nuts.

Does anyone else think besides being the code for J´s safe, 1102 might also be a date? February 11th?

People really need to go through the thread and actually read, I think we're on our fourth recycled suggestion. It's pretty safe to assume that everyone has dissected the whole code/date thing.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I should've said that he wouldn't notice it wasn't his DOOR he was coming out of. He's in his own room, then doesn't notice that he exits into a different part of the hallway because he's being chased.

Could be, but I don't know why they'd do it year-first.

Yes, this! And I feel like I repeated myself a little bit while talking about the teleportation theory too, sorry about that...

I don't like posting theories with little evidence supporting them, but this one made me laugh a bit too, so here it goes-

Assumed with evidence- Jay forgot the events of 7 months before season 2 began. Masky is seen in this video, apparently with knowledge of where Jay is staying. Jess is shown to be staying in the same hotel as Jay, in an adjoining room, also with memory loss.
Assumed with no evidence- Masky met up with, talked with, and started working with Jay over the 7monthblackout.
Assumed with little evidence- Jessica also joined up with them during this period.

Extrapolated story- Jay, Jess, and Masky went out on a hunt or whatever and got two adjoining rooms at a hotel (one for Jay and Masky, one for Jess). They all go out on a filming mission, and Masky gets injured. He takes himself in to the hospital, and receives care for some time. While he's out, the Operator comes and wipes Jay's and Jess' memory, deleting the last 7 months. Then the events of 27-32 happen. After 32 is over, Jess goes to the vending machine to get something for the road. Jay figures that since they're ready to go, he can close Jess' door.

Then he hears someone enter Jess' room. This is Masky returning from the hospital (possibly with a pronounced limp, but not necessarily, we're getting there). Jay goes in to check it out, but Masky, always a prankster, decides to prank Jay and hides. Jay finds the safe code he was always supposed to have, but Jess had it in her pocket for one reason or another and had forgotten about it. He thinks it's some big thing, and while he's looking in the safe and getting the tapes, Masky makes his move.

Jay, not remembering teaming up with Masky over the 7monthblackout, thinks its a legit attack and prepares himself with a maglight. Masky put up a hand in defense, as if to say "hey man, cool down, what's up?" Jay hits him hard, he drops, and Jay bolts for the door. Masky composes himself, stumbling (either because of the maglight walloping or his time in the hospital) out to the hall, where He sees Jay heading out, but can't catch up to ask him what exactly is going on.

It's silly altogether, but in theory, it's totally possible.

I'm starting to like TBG's theory. I hadn't considered the fact that J could have worked with masky during the past 7 months…

Fair enough, that's an explanation I can at least live with. Though I still have vage suspiciousness that it was all just done due to technical difficulties.

Though the question remains (and isn't being talked about because it isn't obvious and no one reads thread) what the CRAP was in Jessica's safe? I'm hoping we find out and it wasn't closed for convenience. If we find out in a TTA video that would make me super awesome happy.

Though if the TTA does not = Masky theorists are to be believed, maybe we can expect a NEW youtube account, just for our debonair, masked anti-hero. (Though I doubt that)

Do I stay in an inordinate amount of hotels for being a member of this forum? O.o
Because to me that looks just like these little paper-plastic instruction sheets they hang up/put next to the towels in the hotel room. It gives instructions for getting them cleaned, and says theyre made from acid-free blah blah blah. Generally they get knocked down (JUST LIKE THAT) when you pull down towels, and then crushed (JUST LIKE THAT) by accidental steeping through the doors, and then kicked out of the way (JUST LIKE THAT).

So yes, I very much doubt its anything.

I've been wondering the same thing! XD I wish there was a clearer picture of it, but J's camera isn't the best quality... Hm. Does anyone else have any idea?
