so it was really masky banging around in the warp room next door, and jessica really was telling the truth when she said she had no idea what he was talking about?

Also, can anyone figure out what the white thing on the floor around 2:01 is? Looks like a towel, but I can't really tell and it's bugging me right now. xP

Here's a screen cap:
-snip-

It's probably nothing, but I MUST KNOW. xD

I've been wondering the same thing! XD I wish there was a clearer picture of it, but J's camera isn't the best quality... Hm. Does anyone else have any idea?

To me, it looks like a couple of sheets of crumpled-up paper. It's in Jessica's/maybe-not-actually-Jessica's room, no?

On another note, scrubbing through that section again, again, I actually noticed a brief moment of choppy-style distortion -- only about twelve frames' worth, about half a second -- as Jay dodges out of the door. Support for warp door theory perhaps, or just proximity to our masked antagonist there?

For the record, I think that if the warp door theory IS true (and I'm leaning that way because I'm convinced Troy and Joseph wouldn't make such a dumb, dumb mistake), then this entry is an indication that Masky has deliberate control over it. After all, if it's true, then he set up a room to appear to be Jessica's, left the warp-door for Jay to find, and then, finally, made the door that HE was coming out of after Jay fled connect to the hallway beside the door that Jay had dodged out of.

Ooh! Good point sir! Bringing that up is a major piece of evidence for the idea of a "Masky room".

Also, for everyone who keeps talking about the white papers on the ground. They're usually folded as triangles and put on top of towels in American hotels.

Found a picture:

Not putting up directly as it's a bit of a page-stretcher. But these things look just like that when they fall and break apart. (It's basically a paper triangle, the bottom almost always comes undone when they get crushed by something.

Quoting because woo, proof for Masky room, I didn't think of that!

And also, thank you! That must be what that white thing is. XD Makes sense now. <3

I think the first page should be updated with some type of information on the various theories and speculations that go on in this thread, because I'm unclear on this whole Masky room theory, but I think I get the idea. I'll do a little more browsing though, because it seems intriguing.

But, the first page should be updated because I, and I'm sure other people as well, Have come in to the forums seen a couple new pages about the new entry and are somewhat lost.

Jus say'n.

Edit:
Excuse me for being completely oblivious to everything that happened in Entry 23, I just realized why J kept running through rooms in there.

I think the warp theory can be disapproved on Video 33.

When J exits Jessica's room Masky exits his room. You can clearly see it's J's room because the hallway matches the previous entries. So you have to believe that he "warps" to other room to get the code, re-enters his room, then when Masky attacks he warps into J's room. Then J exits via Jessica's room and does not teleport anywhere.

Holy crap I haven't said warp so many times since playing Super Mario Brothers when I was 10 years old.

I really don't like the teleport idea, but it's clear it happens in MH (and everymanhybrid) too. It just doesn't happen here. Maybe I'm stuck on the idea Jessica is assisting Masky, but that's my 2 cents.

I have to come clean and admit that I don't actually believe my own crazy suggestion that it was Masky's room that J stepped into, I think the most likely situation is that it is Jessica's room and that she is gone.

Hi, this is my first time posting and was just wondering, how sure are we that Masky was attacking J? I watched the fight between them a couple of times, and I know it went fast and there was some distortion, but could the "bitch slap" have been an attempt to grab the flashlight away from J? He looked sort of like he was reaching for something. Keep in mind that Masky has never spoken, what if this was an attempt to say something before J bolted and not a real or imaginary attack. Just a thought. If that's the case, then he could be trying to protect Jessica, give a message to J, or something else. This is even more plausible if u accept TTA as masky who tries to sound inhuman in some of his responses. If this is some sort of possession of Tim, or whoever, then this may have been the first real, though failed, case of direct communication between the two. Or it could just be that I don't want Masky in my corner in a fight. I CANT WAIT TO FIND OUT WHATS ON THOSE TAPES...if they r all blank I'm gonna lose it.

Then why did they exit the rooms through the door BESIDE hers (as seen from the hallway)?

Then why do neither of the doors Masky/Jay exit from belong to Jay/Jessica's rooms? Razz

Hmmmmmmm.... Am I really the ONLY one that believes this story has lost a step or two? I mean masky's attack was a dull SLAP! And didn't they make it too obvious in entry #32 by saying at the end, "...just in case something happens..." In what, five f***ing minutes!!! But miraculously, IT DID! The series is still better than any other out there, but it has lost a step or two with a slight loss of plot, and iffy action.

I guess you could say it was convenient that Jay was paranoid something would happen. He was also saying time was running out and I think both Jessica and him were sleeping worse and feeling worse, giving them an indication that something was closing in.

He had also just learned that their situation was much more suspicious/nefarious than he had suspected before, being the only two guests, both losing memory and sleeping poorly.

I just didn't expect Jessica to disappear. I was expecting answers! But that's part of the appeal of this series to me: the fact that we're getting a narrow view of things going on and it seems like Jay is a small part of something much bigger and out of his control.
