We've talked a lot about the banging in Jessica's room.
And the teleportation.

But I don't think we've come to the conclusion that the banging was coming from Masky's room. That when Jay knocked the first time, Masky switched it back, and when Jay knocked again, Jessica came to the door

The banging coming from "Masky's" room doesn't make any sense to me. Sounds like that don't travel through doorways, they travel through walls. It is more than likely that Jessica was unconsciously causing the banging noises, and has probably been sleepwalking.

I'm sure there are multiple sets of stairs, however, the hallway is completely different on each side, I have comparison pictures proving this. Earlier in the thread, I can't look them up ATM because I'm at work on my phone.

C'mon guys are we really gonna argue about the teleportation theory again?! There's proof on both sides of the argument and we could go on for days about how one side has to be wrong because *insert generic redundant argument here* but either way we won't know who's right, or even the relevance of this argument until it is acknowledged by Jay. I like hearing theories with teleportation and without it, but I don't like when people try and start the theory war. Can we just speculate in peace, regardless of what someone may or may not believe?

Hey guys, sorry for jumping in here but I wanted to put out a theory I had since watching entry #33. I'll make a time-line to try and show what I think happened.

-J and Jessica meet during the 7 month gap and team up due to having similar circumstances, i.e. the Operator.
-They set up the hotel as a base of sorts and get adjoining rooms. They need to be close but they're not going to share a room.
-They film or find the tapes seen in the safe either before or after moving into the hotel and J puts them in his safe.
-He tells the combination to Jessica in case anything happens to him.
-Something happens and either the Operator or Totheark, I'm leaning more to Totheark, finds them.
-Totheark wants the tapes in the safe but can't open it without the combination and neither J or Jessica will tell him.
-Totheark or the Operator represses their memory so they can't remember working together and are thus strangers and no longer running.
-Totheark leaves behind hints to try and jog their memory so that they remember the combination. Specifically J as he has the noentery file and the safe.
-Totheark or the Operator start making Jessica sleepwalk or do things during the night.
-At some point Jessica writes down the combination to J's safe and turns the zero into an Operator symbol, kinda like Alex was making all those drawings of the Operator symbol.
-J and Jessica finally start talking together, but they decide to leave rather than stay. J even says that he's given up on the safe even though it's still locked.
-Totheark wants the tapes and for J and Jessica to not be working together so he kidnaps Jessica, and maybe plans to mind-wipe J again, when he sees that Jessica has written down the combination.
-Totheark decides that barging into J's room to try and open the safe will result in a fight and either J getting away or injury to himself so he leaves the combination in Jessica's room knowing that J will look in there and be curious enough to try the safe again.
-Totheark then attacks J when J pulls out the tapes to try and either scare J into leaving the tapes behind or incapacitating J.
-J is able to get away with the tapes via maglight to the face or incompetence on Totheark's part.

I hope that that's clear enough. I didn't want to write out a big paragraph so I wrote a semi-timelineish thing.

I find it hard to swallow that Masky can hack into J's Twitter (bit of an OOG screwup on J's part, btw) but can't get his hands on a 4-digit-code.

Also, since he obviously has had access to Jessica's room, he could have picked that combination up anytime. And even if she wrote it at the very last second, he could have snatched it then and waited for J to just leave, then get the contents of the safe.

In any case, there's something incredibly stupid and unnerving about his repeated failures, so they better have thought of some truly ingenious and believable motivation for him. I'm almost at the point of accepting the "he just wants to cuddle" theory. It makes as much sense as anything else, really.
