I am ACTIVE in only the Marble Hornets ARG, and I go by ocd_reality, ocd, Hailey, or 'that one chick'. Call me what you like.

General description: High school student, which means I alternate between having hours to waste away (like now) and pulling all-nighters for damned AP Euro.

I have the (not all that uncommon around here) ability to obsess over every little detail of the Entries, and I discuss them for days with Akemi here, who I also know IRL. As for actual concrete contribution, I don't have much more to offer than screencaps and several long-winded theories.[/b]

Rather Dashing

I'm active when I feel like it, particularly excited about MH

Skills: Identifying certain brands/styles of shoes. In a season 4 episode of the Office, Michael Scott is wearing Eccos, if you're observant enough.

GMT -6 (EST) in Winnipeg.

I'm DoubleDog.

I'm... Well, I'm pretty much useless other than the fact that I am very, very observant. I am active about every day, from around 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. I really look closely at videos and try to analyze and pick up any interesting data I can find in them (if that makes any sense to anybody.).

I'm the artsy type who can usually be found drawing a few pictures during my free time. I can also edit videos pretty well. And.... Well that's about it, really.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my time zone and such. GMT -6 [Central Time] in Illinois.

The Illest Villen

Active most of the time

I'm a musician for the most part, but I also have a thing for writing, so I may be able to help with verifying or disproving some of the theories from an author's standpoint.

I'm also a pretty ruthless debater (i.e. Total asshole) and will try and prove or disprove stuff WITH A FIERY PASSION.

Dray, not so active right now, mostly because of work!

My degree says I can draw stuff good; I know a bunch about photoshop and Adobe After Effects (a program for makin' stuff move) and a tiny bit about Toon Boom.

Not sure how much help it will be in game, though I can probably tell you in technical terms what sorts of things are being used to create distortion in the various videos? I can also draw posters and fanart! Very Happy

Other than that, I'm a typing garborator. Ideas in one end, fonts of letters (see what I did there) out the other.

I'm Kilo, I'm sort of active. Working 12 hour shifts for days at a time can kind of put you behind.

Anyway, my trade is medicine. It's pretty useless as far as this series goes, since anything can easily be handwaved away. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that.

And I guess I live in the Rome timezone? I have no idea what is. I think it's like +1 GMT or something.

Availability: Sporadically Active. I've actually been around for quite a while, but took a vacation after S1's closing. It's interesting how things have changed since I'm away.

Skills: Acting, multimedia student (detecting video artifacts FTW), and veteran Troper and geek, with an eye for continuity, so... well, I'll gladly pick apart stuff. Not sure how much help that will be, but anyway...

Name's Gale

Availability: Always active here and on The Slender Man Mythos forum in the afternoon or at night.

General description: Bucket full of knowledge with mythology, cryptology, or paranormal stuff that gets my interest. Also into crime science ever since watching a couple of shows on Discovery (and Tru TV) when I was a teenager.
I get REALLY deep into puzzles and wanting to solve them and have a good ear when picking up sounds that people couldn't normally hear.

I'm an amateur artist and writer that gradated high school in '03.

Timezone: EST-Maine.

Indextic! I only found this place after Entry 32 gave me a raging boner for the series after being bored/confused with it, but for the last few days I've been rather active.

I don't really think I have many skills though T_T I'm rather sub-par with everything compared to everyone else here.

Barolas, and I lurk these forums almost daily instead of doing whatever it is I should be doing. >.>;

My strengths are a very strong recall memory (I can recall nearly anything brought up in a thread, and I usually read them all the way through), and I've been in banking for about 6 years now.

I'm in college for degrees in Business Management and Human Resources (last semester hopefully!), so a bit of that includes psychology and sociology courses on reading/motivating people. Kind of limited in the context of determining how the characters in the entries behave, but not entirely useless.

My weaknesses are definitely cyphers or math puzzles; the former only because I have no experience with them. I'm usually real good with logic puzzles, so I'm hoping I get better at these as I go.

Edit: I guess I'm a bit of an audiophile, but more for clarity rather than being able to hear mumbled/garbled audio over distortion.

Hey! I'm Thorn.
active
I'm a high school student, and I know a fair amount about cameras/technology. I also have some skill in photo editing, which is particularly helpful for revealing the dark corners of MH videos.

I try not to post unless I have something insightful to say, but I do a lot of thread reading.

Hi everyone! I'm TheSanityAssassin. I literally just discovered Marble Hornets last night and between then and this afternoon watched the entire series thus far. I had never even heard of an ARG before either, and I find the whole thing very intriguing!

As far as any skills I have... I am a professional musician, so anything related to that, I guess I could be useful in solving, but in general I just enjoy problem solving and puzzles.

As far as how active I can be, I'll say semi-active-lurking, for now. Since I'm brand new to the series I'm currently trying to catch up on everything thats been discussed thus far so I have all the key plot points/clues/etc in place. After that, I'm sure I'll chime in if I have anything relevant to add to the discussion. Smile

Hello there, I'm Pizzacrat. I'm sporadically active, and only in Marble Hornets: my activity sort of depends on the workload of university work!

I just joined this site, after weeks of lurking. I finally decided to join in.

Skills: I am very good with sound, an audiophile. I am also a fiction writer, so I'm good with writing. Also observant, a good puzzle solver.

Bran Rainey (First and last name, so pick one to use. No need to call me by my full name.)

Availability: I'm a film student with a lot of time-consuming classes + I'm the treasurer of a student club dedicated to producing students' video ideas, which is my excuse to force myself into everyone's student film crews. I'll have a job soon, too. I usually just pop in for a bit before bed to see people's new theories, so I'm not too active.

Skills:

- Real knowledge of how something like Marble Hornets gets made. (I could recreate all of the effects we've seen thus far in the series, I mean.) Useful for a reality check, maybe. Razz I also own all the software Troy uses (by my estimation).

- I'm quite good with Photoshop.

- I'm a web designer by hobby. PHP, MySQL, etc. Dunno how that could be useful, but whatever. I'm really good with computers in general.

Timezone: Eastern Standard (GMT-5)

Okay, Joking aside now...

I'm Fil, I currently reside on the north Yorkshire coast, UK and I'm currently studying to be a primary school teacher. I spend a lot of my time making music, so I have a fair amount of audio-processing skills and software.

I also studied video game design at Bradford Uni a good few years back, so I have above average knowledge of coding and programming languages and conventions (though nothing too in-depth).

What I do have in abundance is an almost obsessive habit of analysing everything from various view points, which is handy for ARGs, but damn annoying for people around me in real life. Wink

My availability is fairly low due to study and home commitments, but I do have enough time to help out with the odd specific project if I can be useful.
