[PUZZLE] October 1 picture at paintover

I know about he "always to have lessons to learn" message, and the S TO L thing, but where is this image leading us? We have nothing really from this image. Look where the 2nd image has led us (to more confusion, actually, but at least SOMEWHERE). Perhaps the first message is the key to the 2nd. Here is the pattern...the quote tells you a login or a way to access something. Cassius said the quote on the 2nd image, so I think Alice is the login somewhere. part of the quote (or lack thereof...carelessly) led us to filenames...maybe S TO L will serve that function. The background was the password and the policeman told us what site. My main question is where is this image's "policeman?" where does this image lead us? what site? I'm sure we can figure this out.

Post this again:

Sorry , I just had posted this on another thread hehe: Here it goes again:

Quote:
Someone just said that if paintover's images are actually hacking announcements, then this first image had to have a following hacking, of which up until now we don't know anything about. The date of the image is 10/1, so it doesn't match with the hacking of little-boxes directory, nor the hacking attempts at metacortex, nor the aquapolis thing... so were missing quite a lot there.

I tend to agree, really - one possibility is that this image was pointing us somewhere, but we never figured it out. The other possibility is that we'll get a series of images that together add up to a broader meaning... which would still imply we have more to learn from the first one.

Hell, I don't think anyone on any forum came to a consensus on what the ghostly background image was supposed to represent? Skeleton? White rabbit? A Squiddie from the movies? Hard to say.

In which case STOL could also mean S to L, as in a key to a Caesar cipher...

well, if S to L is a key to a cipher, we need a lot more images....and we haven't gotten another key yet. I think the background is a skeleton...I wouldn't say it was a squiddie, b/c we most definitely aren't in the "real world" here. The only releated thing I can even think of is the article on capturing ghosts on film from PRJ. But PRJ doesn't have any logins I know of. Maybe if you just type URLs....file name STOL.txt or something??? I'll try some stuff.

Maybe it's a login for little-boxes.......I tried a google search for the picture of the girl (without the ghost maybe), but came up empty. The backgroud of the image just seems to me to be leading us to the PRJ or little-boxes. The full quote is from page 20 of alice in wonderland -
`But then,' thought Alice, `shall I NEVER get any older than I am now? That' ll be a comfort, one way--never to be an old woman- -but then--always to have lessons to learn! Oh, I shouldn't like THAT!'.
Just after she drank a drink that made her big...she was in the house of the WHITE RABBIT at the time. I'm still really unsure as to the significance of this quote relative to this little game of ours. I can't fully get my mind around this image. I could use some help, but it seems that most of the posters here have turned their thoughts to images 3 and 4. I think 4 doesn't have a lot to it, but 3 does. Anyhoo, any help or analysis would be great.

interesting... tho im an English major, ive never read alice in wonderland... seems very knowledgable.... however old we get our minds never age, always feel young.... we always are learning.... real cool ideas.

dunno what it could mean. That 'skeleton' looks like the robot from second ren, which the WB penned themselves...

Just a thought

Well if the aquapolis thing is any indication, then if the thing is the back is a skull and theres a girl in front...

Skull+girl=schoolgirl

And also fits in the S to L thing

Yeah it's a Skeleton but since everything is covered except for a foot, the hands and the SKULL,and if we take the S to L from skeleton we have Skel, which mates ok: Skel+Girl=Schoolgirl. Well I just thought LOL

And the S to L could be backwards L to S which could mate with Little-boxeS

So, what does alice have to do with it? Well remember the author is a LewiS

mmm... i think i have the leads but I miss something... :/

Exactly

Tried that as a password (sdfghjkl, dfghjk) and nothing, with any of the logins I could think (schoolgirl, skullgirl, phillip, emc2, alice, lewis).

Although I think were on track Smile

Possible Anagram

Maybe the lesson to be learned (after Alice drank the drink to make her big) was to get small again.

To focus on the smalled colored part of the picture. It is very hard to figure out, but it might be an OWL.

STOL/LOST/LOTS
SKELETON/BONES/SKULL
OWL/BIRD

I thought the colored part that the little girl was looking at was a crown over a heart (actual heart not iconic heart), refering to the red queen (wasn't she the queen of hearts or something).
