Guess my Flynn Lives shirts, pins & poster are all wrong then. To me, if folks are doing this, their aim is to create the best work possible so I would hope that critiques would be welcome. Maybe I'm wrong. I defer to your expertise in the "reproductions" department. My mistake. Rolling Eyes

May just be me, but the S looks a little off on the "LIVES", too.

Yeah, the S isn't the best since I'm doing these freehand. They're not as smooth as the originals since I was doing all of the letters by hand (no fonts) by tracing over the original font. Also, there might be minor differences in the thickness of the lines (I haven't compared them too closely to the originals). I might tinker more with them, but if you have illustrator, feel free to fix 'em up if I don't get to them in the next few days. Otherwise I'll do that this weekend

Thanks SkekTek!

The PDF files work for me.

Thanks,

Bobby

It seems to me that the L in LIVES doesn't line up with the F in FLYNN. Is there a reason for that?

Actually, yes. In the posters on the wall from the deleted scene, the F and L are set apart from each other (the F precedes the L as if the maker did a right justify on the font). In addition, I just looked at my Flynn Lives shirt I got from the Digital Frontier drop, and it's the same (the middle line of the F should line up with the left line of the L in the names).

And yes, I'm going for as accurate as I can make them- all the extra eyes help!

Aaaah, I see where you were working from now. Based on those sources, these are perfect! Cool I was doing my comparisons to the other Flynn Lives representations we've seen, so I apologize for the confusion. Cool

No problem. I don't think the folks making the various props were talking to each other much, so there's bound to be individual variation. I kinda went my own way with the bits, though- aside from the No bit, I made the rest up!

Thanks!

EDIT: I played around with cleaning up the S on all of the files, so if you go back and d/l them again, they'll be neater looking.

I got a good chuckle from this, because I thought you wrote something like, "feel free to put it where ever the F you like."

It's early and I just got my coffee.

I read the same thing, so I'm glad it wasn't me. Smile

Seriously though, I think it's a pretty good approximation, though I've seen some FL logos with the letters bolder, and taller. So without actually getting a copy of the art in a much cleaner sense (other than the very distorted view in the two pictures which indicate the art is printed on highly reflective glossy paper).

I am totally unhappy with the NO bit, since it seems the dude who made the poster didn't do a great job with it, but it is as it appears there. I was able to do a much better job with the YES and OFF bits since I used images of those shapes and did a more precise render/color.

Don't know what you're talking about, but I never said a thing about any F-ing F. Wink And seeing as how Skek himself agreed with the issue on the S, I'd say the input was correct.

HAHAHA I see you got the humor in this. Your statement more supported the fact that the f and l were of set that's all.
