I certainly hope we get something soon. I'm getting a little antsy because none of the slendy series' that i watch (EMH, MH, TT, Andersen Journals) have posted in a bit.

I follow EMH and TT on twitter and I have TT's official facebook page (which the maker of TT updates himself) but that's all I have for my slendy fix.

I'm so anxioussssssss Bang Head

same boat, dude. i figured following all 4 i'd get something big and great about once or twice a week, BUT THERE'S BEEN NOTHING ANYWHERE.

Fucking hell, guys, I'm used to there being a month between updates on Marble Hornets (end of season 1), and I wasn't watching any others back then. This is fucking dreamy.

THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

Finally, a QUALITY, SUBTLE, COHERENT vlog.

And it's an actual, 'talk-to-the-camera' vlog, too. Which I've actively complained about in the Slender Review. This guy is likable and interesting, and manages to pull that format off so that it is complimentary to his goals, rather than hindering them.

This has literally just pushed up out of nowhere to knock TT out of first place for me.

Okay, I'm sorry, but after watching all seven videos, I can't see why this is getting so much love.

I mean, seriously? Is this the quality entertainment we've come to hope for? A kid who sits in front of the camera for five minutes and delivers his lines in the most boring, monotone way possible? Sure, he's got sublte Slendy, but if that's really all a Slender series must depend on to be good, then we really need to re-evaluate things.

I can't decide which is worse, the writing or the acting. Maybe they just go hand in hand. Every character so far just sound bored out of their skulls. The main character voice is more flat than William Hurt in Lost in Space. That last video's fight was not a fight, but two guys trying to have a convincing argument and failing. The moments where it's NOT talking are few and far in between, and those moments are just...stupid! They're really stupid!

And speaking of that fight...Jesus CHRIST. "Okay, I know I've known you for a really long time, but my roommate has been missing for, like, ten minutes and if he's not back by tomorrow, I'm calling the cops on you." I mean, REALLY?! THAT's quality writing?

Now, I will be the first to admit that the other series' have not exactly been on par either. Every series has had their good moments and their bad moments in writing and acting. But you guys are treating this series like it's the Second Coming of Christ, and I simply don't see it.

In short, unless writing and acting sees a drastic improvement, I refuse to believe this is the worthy fourth contender to the Big Three.

Finally someone who's sane around here! The way the people on here are treating MLAnderson is seriously questioning my faith in the mental stability of unforum users. Or at least the validity of their opinions.

C'mon guys, really? This series is not anywhere close to the big three. I think even some of the other smaller series like Angel's Game and Dark Harvest beat this guy out. (Hell, even the Outside Agents) To me, all I see is a semi-competent actor talking in front of his webcam with subtle hints of Slendy interferenc. This is a Slendy vlog with minimal effort and preparation. I can't even sit through the videos of him rambling on for several minutes with nothing happening. If I wanted that I would read a blog.

When I watch a Slender Man based vlog I want to see either action, ambiance or ARGtacular immersion. This guy is delivering none of those.

I honestly don't care if you like this series or not, you're entitled to your opinion, but seriously guys? You think THIS is great? I'm just glad you're not real movie critics or the film industry would be in dire straights.

Guest-While I respect your opinions, could you try not to insult people who do like this? It may not have been your intention, but it seems to have come out that way. The last few sentences in particular. Thanks.

Anyway, I like this series because it is rather subtle, it manages to build up sympathy for the main character, and while the acting during the argument wasn't stellar, it certainly wasn't the worst. There also seems to be an actual plot, which is nice. Dark Harvest doesn't really appear to have one as of yet, and the Andersen Journals hasn't introduced a TTA figure (yet).

I do hope to see some more action sometime soon, but we're only seven videos in. TribeTwelve didn't really get good until somewhere around the eighth video.

having a negative opinion is fine but damn... are we allowed to have ours without you coming in and berating us for it?
I happen to like this series and the acting just fine...and I don't feel the need to justify it to a worked up asshole like you lmfao

up on a pedestal? no.
on par with the big three? not yet but working on it! lol

if you dislike it so much then quit watching it already. Don't come in here and insult us for liking it.

Like the above two posters have said, opinions are opinions but don't tell people they're wrong for having theirs and don't insult people for having it either. This is what winds me up so much about forums.

Personally, I find the acting to be good for what they're trying to convey. This vlog has just started, the main story hasn't kicked off yet, character relationships are being set up.

It seems to me that a lot of people just want a video every day with full on manic shenanigans all the time. That isn't how you tell a good story. It might be entertaining, but it won't draw you in.

Thank you for your contribution, Guest: as always, your condescension is greatly appreciated.

More respectfully, Slick...I can see where you're coming from. I think that my own appreciation of this series may be positively skewed because the only acting I've seen in a slendervlog lately has been the Angel's Game, Dark Harvest and Marble Hornets, with the occasional welcome input by TT (and EMH nowhere to be seen). That said, I feel there is something to be said for watching this knowing that the main character does not have the best understanding of his own reality.

What I really love about this series, though, is it feels like a tie-in between the vlogs and the blogs; particularly the big three. Just Another Fool, Dreams in Darkness and Seeking Truth all had one major theme in common; the unreliability of what is said by the narrators. Zeke shot...someone who he thought was Slendy, Dreams in Darkness was...well, DiD, and Just Another Fool ended the way it did.

Here, the main character is suffering the same as those characters. Compared to the relatively sane main characters in the vlogs (which I feel is a lack of adventure on their part that is sorely misguided), I appreciate the attempt to delve further from the norm. It's by no means the same style as the 'big 3', but frankly, the dudes who've tried to be in that same style have not done nearly as well as those who tread their own path.

and to everyone else insulting MLAndersen- This is an MLAndersen thread. if you're not a fan of it, why don't you stay off of it? not trying to come off as rude (and sorry if i did) but wouldn't it make sense to not post on the things you don't like as to NOT piss off the people that do? People are always going to disagree, yes, but that's no reason to purposely try and aggravate people (if that's what the intention was).

Like i said- not trying to make waves or anything, I just think that if you don't like something, you shouldn't post on its thread. Just makes sense to me...

Dammit, Gaems, that thing almost gave me a frikin Malware virus XD

Alright, the bitter critic in me aside, if you genuinely like this series, that's fine. The point of my rant up there was not to beat you all over the head with a stick. I understand full well that everything is subjective personal opinion, and if you indeed like something then small-time curmudgeons like myself hopefully won't be reducing anyone to tears.

My problem is that I literally have heard nothing but praise for this series, other than the fact that they "sub 4 sub" [1], so for only seven videos I was expecting something phenomenal, if not Slendy apperances out the ass then at least terrific acting with brilliant writing. Instead what I got were seven videos that had me going "...this is shit" at the end of every one. I believe Delta said it was building the atmosphere; frankly, I'm not feeling it. Nothing he's done so far has convinced me that I should care about what's going on with him. I'm hoping that changes, because anyone who's seen me post on here knows that I do like to support the little guys.

Again, if you like this series, then my words should not matter. My only problem again that I have with it is that all the reviews on this forum had me expecting something terrific. As a writer, I believe in good writing, both in story and in character dialogue. The writing here could make a good series great; as it stands, from where I'm sitting, it only makes a bad series pretentious. If they fixed it a little, really started convincing me, then I'd be on this series like a fat kid at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

Sorry if I offended anybody. Moving on now.

1- for those who aren't familiar with the term (because I saw some people confused over it), "sub 4 sub" on Youtube is basically "hey, I'll subscribe to you if you subscribe to me". It's a really cheap way of getting popular, and it usually involves sending messages out to those channels with more subs than theirs, or even less, just for the sole purpose of getting a bigger audience. It's a technically legitimate way of getting subs, however, it's heavily frowned upon by those channels that bust their asses with content and try to get noticed on their own (myself included).

I like the series and I encouraged Slick to post his negative review. Slick has actual criticisms, not just "I hate this series and you should too." Criticism is more likely to lead to improvement than praise, and decreases the risk of the creator(s) getting big heads. And I figure if the creator(s) see complaints and try to address them, we all benefit.

@SickSlickMan- I didn't mean it that way. I was just saying. And I understand why it seems so... *trying to think of a word* well...shitty. It's not even close to the big 3 but I have high hopes for it. Re-reading a lot of the posts about this series, I can understand as well that it didn't live up to it's hype. Again- I'm hoping and praying that it gets better.
It has subtly improved.
Though I do like the character himself and that he supposedly has no idea who/what Slenderman is. It gives it sort of a naive charm (*does Tim Curry/Frankenfurter impression*).
But that's just me.

Just going to say this:

It's perfectly okay not to like something. It's okay, even, to say to one's self after watching/reading something that 'this is shit'. However, there's a difference between critique and ripping the shit out of someone's work -- or someone's opinion.

I disagree with SickSlickMan. I disagree all over the place with him in regards to this particular vlog. His review is not phrased as nicely as it could be, and is very opinionated, but it's still a review, an opinion, and does not presume to impose on others.

Guest is, as anonymous persons are wont to be on forums, an opinionated derisive jerk. As nearly everyone has pointed out. And frankly, I'm kind of tired of opinionated derision being such a staple in comments on blogs/vlogs people in this community don't like. If you don't like MLAnderson you can A. Stop watching, B. write up something constructive and useful to help the creator improve in your eyes, and C. Not be a bitch about it having fans.

Personally, I think MLAnderson is quite good. I do not think the lines are delivered monotonously or in a boring manner; I think they are delivered naturally, without the unnecessary drama so prevalent in 'the big 3'. This is my opinion. However, I can see how fans of the big 3 would get all frustrated over a lack of swinging fists and untraceable camera movement. I can comprehend how one could have an unfavorable opinion here. I don't think it's wrong of people to enjoy it on a massive level, but I can accept displeasure.

I don't see how anyone could be treating this like the Second Coming, especially not this early on. There is room for improvement, but especially compared to some other things happening in this community, I really don't see why the idea of people being a fan of this is so vile.

Just sayin'. Going to go back to lurking now.
