My bet is on Micheal hurt Shaun.

Well, kind of.
My running theory is that somehow Slender Man hurt Shaun. Somehow. Shaun is blaming it on Micheal which, going by the VIRUS theory, would mean that it is Micheal's fault. Shaun wouldn't have gotten hurt if Micheal hadn't infected him with this insanity.

Of course, then there's also the possibility that Micheal has had fits of rage in the past. I mean, his mirror is broken in the background, and while that might just be a coincidental set piece, we don't know how it came to be broken. Also take into account Eric's blunt accusations. While he might just be a royal dick, there also might be reasons we don't know behind his behavior. Micheal has probably done some bad things we don't know about.

We don't know if his hospitalization was voluntary or not, but we do know that he's probably over 18 which means that in the United States at least he cannot be hospitalized for mental reasons unless he is posing a threat to himself or others. (Trust me, Mom was in the psych ward for a little stay earlier this year, I know the procedure.)

I really hope whoever it was wasn't hurt too badly. I really like Michael. I sympathize with him more than I do with the other main characters in Slendervlogs, besides maybe Jeff from EMH.

I agree with CarpeCor. I feel like Michael is a more identifiable character.

But we really don't know him too well...

Just remember, sometimes psychotic people can be very charming, very very personable. It's a trait of the psychopath, e.g. Ted Bundy. We're supposed to identify with Micheal. It is his vlog, we're seeing things through his warped little paradigm, and we can only see what he chooses to show us.

Don't put your bets too heavily on Micheal being so cuddly and cute for long, that's all I'm saying.

I just watched this series up to current today so I'm a bit late to the party but I've read the whole thread as well.

And I do agree, he is a very sympathetic character but we may need to be wary of the possibilities of a trap.

I think that's my favorite thing about this series. Of course, I love unreliable narrators when they are done well, so...>.>

But I agree that Michael is a character people like and feel sympathetic for. I know this is especially true for one of my friends.
