Also, about the "don't touch me like that"... that definitely set off the sexual abuse alarm bells for me. Then again, he could have also interpreted it as Shaun being condescending.

That also comes with being forced to take meds by injection. You get your arms grabbed like that and pulled out and held. If he was forced to take injections, he probably has a severe dislike of people grabbing him like that, or in any way.

I think that would make more sense. <:

And I'm confused about the doctor picking up and leaving too. xD Does he have any sort of contact with him? Did something happen to his doctor? Why did he leave, anyways?

I agree, thats probably what happened. As for the doctor thing, its possible they retired or switched facilities but he would have to start seeing a new one and generally they tell you why if they are leaving. Strange.

As for the doctor moving, I have had that happen. Basically all I got was a 'Good luck finding another.' Sometimes treatment for mental health issues is severely lacking so it would not surprise me that this happened.

My next question is about what to do? Do I ask the doctor's name to see if that may open a link? Or do I wait for Michael to contact me again?

Or maybe his doctor just... vanished. In the way that people sometimes do in slenderstories. I say ask about it.

If he hasn't replied yet, I would probably wait. Don't want to push too hard IG.
Though, I would suggest trying to find out about why the doctor left. Although it is possible he just up and left, it may also be possible that he didn't do it without reason... :V

I think I will wait until tomorrow and ask him about the doc. If possible, my two goals will be to find out more and see if we can get a name. If anyone has other suggestions let me know.

Yeah, it should be the case that another doctor is found for him, preferably referred to by the outgoing current doctor, but if mental health care in the US is anything like it is where I live, then yeah, as someone else said it's pretty much "good luck, you're on your own".

Or, he may have been referred to a new doctor and found it an opportune time to just not go, and with many doctors being overloaded with work and patients, he could have just slipped off the radar. Of course, Someone could have told him that he doesn't need to see a doctor.

Ask him if his doctor's name is Corenthal.

Here is his reply. For note my user name on youtube is Julian Grimm:

Quote:
Julian,

I don't reach out to people over the internet very often, but I must admit that I don't have too much of a choice right now. I'm alone and I'm tired.

I can't say why so many people have watched these videos, but it is troubling. Things are only getting worse. Shaun's gone, and his roommate Eric has shown up pounding on my door every night since i put that video up. I feel like a rat in a maze and the maze is crumbling; everyone is just sitting there and watching.

It, or he, is there when I sleep, when I wake up, when I go out. I'm losing time. I'll fall asleep and wake up two days later in the basement. He is making me hurt myself, he made me hurt Shaun. The medication only dulls everything. He wants me like that, it is easier that way.

My Doctor has moved away. This started for him to watch me, to help me, and he is gone now. He was supposed to help me.
I'm scared Julian.
I don't know why I responded to you, but it is somewhat comforting to know that someone cares.

-Michael

Fantastic work!

This is rather troubling, but it makes me wonder if perhaps we can get things moving more if we contact him more. He seems warm to the idea of letting us help him out in the small ways that we can.

I would definitely ask for a little more on the doctor, but I would also express some concern into the other parts of his note as well. Slendy is making him hurt himself? That part troubles me the most. I haven't seen any bandages, how is he hurting himself? Where?
What about Shaun? Is he referring to recently in the video hurting Shaun? Or back when they were kids, his leg break? Or maybe something worse, we don't know what happened when the camera turned off.

And his description of how the medication effects him is troubling as well. As someone who was on an unnecessary medication for a while, i can relate to him, and that scares me. Taking a medication that isn't right for you or you really don't need makes everything go dull and your reaction time is off.

We shouldn't push too hard, but we should keep contacting him.

Slendy making him hurt Shaun could refer to the fight from last vid.

It's a question we need answered, a concerning point brought up in this contact.

Can we talk about the timeline?

Michael:
-His video channel lists his age as 21.
-When he's talking to Shaun, he says something happened sixteen years ago that got him sent off to a psych ward.
-He also talks about an event that happened when they were eight.
-If he was eight when he was sent to get treatment, he would be 24 now.

21 minus 16 equals five, yet the brothers were together and Michael was out of the hospital when he was eight.

It's possible there were multiple times Michael ended up in a hospital, separated by times of stability when he got out.

He also talks about how "one week visits" don't make up for what Shaun did. I really don't know anything at all about how visitation works with children in psych wards, is it at all possible that a stable child would be sent home for a week sometimes? The phrasing could mean either his family coming to see him or him going to see them, but I just don't know enough about this kind of situation to make that call. If he was getting out of the hospital sometimes to stay with his family, that could account for the time Shaun broke his leg and Michael got sent away permanently.

Those three years are going to bug me and bug me until we figure this one out. Confused

Stable children can be temporarily released to visit family, and are often encouraged to as part of rehabilitating them, if all parties concerned agree it's for the best. I hadn't considered this to account for the age difference. Good call.
