Last call on circuit boards. Joe has about 30 hours until the auction closes on these circuit boards. this is the only way to get them for less than $20 shipped. Contact him (email address above in previous post) if you are interested. Auction closes at 3pm PDT on the 15th.

socalsteve: Let me know what I owe you for the necklace. Smile

Concerning the phones, is anyone replacing the display on the phone to make it look like it something else? Or has anyone done it and documented what they did?

i was also looking for documentation. i've been trying to formulate how to assemble from the photo. when i have the 3 components together i'll evaluate the screen and options. a hi-gloss reproduction could be sufficient. if there's opportunity to rig an LED system in the phone shell, then i'd work on diffused transparency for a backlit effect as well as illuminate the chip.

I will also be going down this road once I get all the parts. When the color of the phone is figured out, I will most likely order too of the dummies - one to disasemble for practice and trails for the new screen and one for the final version.

Discovered the packaging I want must be ordered online only. Once in hand i'll get a weight and know a price. Give until the end of next week.

Any concerns that an LED would allow for specific spots to be too bright? How about electroluminescent for the backlighting? Never worked with it, but that was kind of what I was thinking...

Pricing

Alright folks, I'm setting everything in motion. I have the Stay Flat envelopes en route and shipping calculated:

$25 for each necklace
$14 for each 'Chip Only'
$3 for shipping

What I need from you is payment through PayPal (either as a gift or fee paid by you) and in the note block I need your Forum name and your name and address as it needs to be on the package.
