 		i got the Nokia dummy in the mail yesterday.
holy crap! that thing is heavy. i thought it was only going to be a shell but it's got some serious weight to it. sadly the door for the HDMI slot is only molded to the top and isn't hinged like the real one. a prying attempt pulls up the top plate (around the power button and headphone jack) mounting the circuit board will be interesting. i'm gonna take the guts apart to see what can be done for lighting solutions.

I got one and took the whole thing apart. It's held together with 12 screws and a butload of tape and the weight comes from a piece of metal held inside the body with double sided tape. Taking it apart didn't do good things to it. I would recommend buying the body kit for replacing the N8 body if you want to add electronics as it's already in parts and the display isn't blocked (The dummy display is a solid piece of plastic with a small round hole and six screws in it that the faux screen sticker sits on). All you would need to do is take the screws and the screen from the dummy and add them to the body and voila, one hollow shell ready for electronics.

FYI: I only check PayPal 4-5 days a week. Also I'll be in Oregon and Washington next week so anyone who pays after 4pm California time on Thursday wont have their stuff sent out until the week of the 14th.
