OH. I meant to say this last night but it slipped my mind. While reading over Alice's old blog entries, I was struck by one of the incidents she mentions. In it, she peers into a hole in a hallway and sees an "alternate reality" of her basement. She describes it as rust colored wire mesh that is surrounded by nothingness/darkness.

Anyone that's played a Silent Hill game knows that the Otherworld locations of that game look exactly like that. This could just be a little wink-wink reference, although the slendy folks noted that the rabbit silhouette in the youtube video looks a lot like Robbie the Rabbit from Silent Hill 3. Perhaps Wonderland is in actuality a twisted alternate reality that Alice is being pulled into? Food for thought.

My vote goes for 15 seconds also. Again, the "unity = 1" argument.

New post on Rabbit's blog. He's answered the question of where the tea party is to be held by making a maze and then turning it into a puzzle. We have to figure out the correct placement of the pieces to be able to direct Alice to the correct place. The picture is labeled ROYGBIV, which is a color thing. Here's the picture.

ETA: I'm gonna take a crack at putting this sucker together correctly in PSP. I'll report back on my success or, more likely, my phenomenal failure.

ETA2: Okay, I think this will be easier if I print it out and work with physical pieces. I think I have some idea of how the beginning works, but I can't be entirely sure until I can actually see them arranged without swapping windows.

I'm working on it too. Shouldn't be hard once I get home to a printer but for now I'm in class.

Since my printer's scanner is down, and I decided to hop in on this it's not really hard at all.

Just follow the colors of the rainbow. I looked up the order of the colors, and this is what came up.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Red, Orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet

Are you sure about that? I've tried it that way and the path doesn't seem to match up. I haven't tried rotating them or anything, so if that's the key then, uh, whoops?

ETA: According to the wiki entry for ROYGBIV, the reverse VIBGYOR is used a lot, too. So I tried using those to build off the Begin piece, but it doesn't work out either.

I think the ROYGBIV is going to be relevant to a later puzzle. The Rabbit talked about locks in his last post so I think that the colours will be relevant to that. I just printed it out and I'm working on it as you read this.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Okay, I'm pretty much certain that yellow is on top of begin, and I think that blue goes on top of violet. End may go to the right of green. Not sure.

I agree. Would've said the (almost) exact same thing if this guy hadn't first. ^

After messing with this for a while I think

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
we're missing some pieces. Some match really well with one another (yellow + begin, green + end, blue + violet) but the circles in the lower left of both Green and Violet don't fit anywhere. So I think that there might be something hidden in the image or another image elsewhere on one of the sites.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Can .png files have layers? or anything else that can hide information?

Well then I guess photoshop is fooling with me. Blegh. I'll see what I can dredge up then.

I've tried uncamo-ing it using different variations of ROYGBIV as the key, but no success. I also tried the reverse. I tried pulling it up in notepad, but uh, if there's anything in that mess I don't think I'll be able to spot it. I also tried doing a negative image on the photo, but there's nothing there.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The thing that has me thinking there is something hidden is that ROGYBIV is all visible light. There are other wavelengths that can't be seen. maybe something will show if we use a filter designed to find infrared or ultraviolet light?

I'd try it myself but I don't have photoshop installed. Nor would I know how if I did.

Semi- off topic but I'm starting to dislike this Pryex guy's comments.

I've tried every color related filter Paint Shop Pro has, as well as a filter called infrared film which, I was hoping, would turn up something. I got bupkis. I even tried looking for a youtube video with the same number/letter string on it as the filename. No joy.

At this point, I think we are missing something, since it seems like some of those pieces don't match up right. But I don't know what it is.

I found one last thing that might be it. It's a steganography technique called image downgrading. You replace the least significant (up to 7) bits of colour in an image with the same number of the most significant bits from another image. This will apparently give an extra image to be decrypted later. So you just need to isolate the least significant bits of information from the image and the brighten it a veryveryvery lot.

The second and third images on this wiki page are an example. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steganography

However I have no idea how to do this and it seems very unlikely that this is the answer.
