Kids were there recording when the train was hit by the truck. They probably found the creature, befriended it and told one good guy cop so it was their secret.

That was a very in depth interview, thanks for the link Multi, and the fact that Abrahms feels that he "would much prefer to keep quiet right up until opening night, but he and producer Steven Spielberg have seen this summer's intensely dense release schedule and are too invested in "Super 8″ to let it get lost in the crowd."

I haven't seen the Super Bowl trailer, but based upon the links to caves, deep earth discoveries of a "foreign" nature it occurred to me that the "It" that is arriving may be more in its atmosphere (no pun intended) in the dark rather than the light.

From the footage we saw shot in Weirton, and the initial trailer, "It" is quite active at nighttime. Makes you wonder if it must seek at all costs to avoid sunlight.

Oh well, we'll have to wait and see about that. Thanks again!

the word "HELP" is on the board at least twice

also, those letter at the top of that note look something like "DCDGI"

What about the numbers on the cars? Weren't there cars on sale in one shot? Could those numbers be important?
