 		i'm inclined to say it's December 19th...specifically one of the Vandenberg dates. My dad's from Cleveland and when he saw the trailer (the teaser) he said oh, that train must be coming from Vandenberg (which is in Ohio)

EDIT: Scratch that...he said Wright-Patterson AFB...Vandenberg is in Santa Barbara, CA. Still...

this one seems in line with the whole "new form of energy experiments" discussion from the STIES chat room:

another thing i noticed was that on hooklineandminker there was a "Fun Fish Fact" about electroreception...all seems to fit a theme (especially if the beast has fish-like qualities)

 		Also if the date has a place in our ARG, If Josh was born in 1963, this date could be the event of Josh's dads disapearance.

 		I missed the list of characters in the film. Who does Kyle Chandler play? I noticed in the trailer he is hugging Josh(?) and is in an Air Force uniform. Is he Josh's father?

 		I tivo'd the trailer from the super bowl and after a quick review, I think it has different things in the lens at the end from whats posted here.
I will try and transfer what I am seeing to post it..weird//

kyle looks like he's' the sheriff. he's in a black uniform, not with the air force.

I believe that Kyle Chandler is the town's Sheriff and is the widowed father of the character played by Zach Mills .

If you look closer some of the other non-military characters are wearing Air Force tops including Kyle Chandler. But in a couple of shots right before the one Kyle Chandler is wearing the AF top he is wearing a Sheriff's uniform.

ah... i didn't notice he changed clothes. at the beginning, it's a sherriff's uniform


EDIT: maybe he was given a jacket to console/comfort him, or maybe he joins through all the mayhem?

Pretty sure we determined that josh is african american too. So I doubt the kid in the movie is josh minker.

 		I don't think this is really a spoiler -

I'm pretty sure Chandler is the deputy sheriff and the kid is Joel Courtney, not Zach Mills - although Mills is also in the movie. The face in the beginning, boy on bike etc. is Courtney. Since Chandler's character appears in law officer and military uniforms, maybe he is in the reserves and gets called to duty for the event.

Cat looked to be very well taken care of and couldn't have been out side for too long.
