I'd call bull if it's a clue, because it seems to be there just to set the mood of the film.

I think the first number on the car may be the year of the car. The second the price maybe.


I agree. These look like years and prices. If you fill in the places where flags are on the cars the numbers read:

95 67 2195 65 2295 68 3299



don't know how to explain myself. i googled the numbers. those numbers are the Top 5000 words on #macintosh. i went to a website with super 8 stuff with the computer screen (sorry i forgot the website) and that computer looks like an old macintosh. the numbers equals a word. here is the website.

i hope it works or copy and paste.

this is what i got. got the numbers from the windshield and matched it to the "rank" column.

95= yeah
67= up
219= never
65= one
95= yeah
68= from

I see two teenagers and a shorter, younger kid, possibly in a jacket. I highly doubt it's an alien or something similar, that would be way too easy of a find for this ARG, don't you think? They wouldn't just put some alien out in the open in a teaser trailer.

Also, I don't think that missile in the top right (if it is a missile) is being shot at the tanks. I don't think it's a missile at all, actually. I believe it's part of an explosion, and you're seeing a tendril of smoke.
There's a fainter smoke trail closer to them, this would appear to be a stray rocket or missile that landed close for dramatic effect. Notice how the tank in the background isn't aiming its cannon at them.

I theorize that they're in the unfortunate situation of being in a crossfire, or being a little too close to an active battle.

Interestingly, the explosion to the immediate left of the teens (and possible younger kid) seems to be an incendiary explosion.
Two possibilities here:
1) The Army is using incendiary rounds to fight whatever the creature is, or
2) I'm looking into things too much, and it's just a typical hollywood-esque explosion to look neat.

 		kosmo - I've seen the "don't look at explosions" video - it's a good one.

Here's a clip of JJ walking away after the explosive scene of tanks and kids running. I was standing back and not using a flash - so long exposure time made it a little blurry.

sorry if this has already been brought up (this is my first post but i've bee following for a while)

could the numbers add up to a phone number?
(95)= 9+5= 14, 1+4= 5
(67)= 6+7= 13, 1=3= 4
(2195)= 2+1+9+5= 17, 1+7=8
(65)= 6+5= 11, 1+1= 2
(2295)= 2+2+9+5= 18, 1+8= 9
(6Cool= 6+8= 14, 1+4= 5
(3299)= 3+2+9+9= 23, 2+3= 5

so.. 548-2955
