Anyone think that the 3 circles with red dots in the center on the map is meant to be the three towers of the hospital with the center dot being the largest (since the center tower is largest and has the windows/staircase) to help us find the staircase depicted in the drawing? Cant find anything else that would fit the bill.. yet anyway..

That circular pathway might fit the bill... so far the images seem to confirm the location--not suggest that we visit the place.

Let's try to keep our thoughts on Earth here, I've been reading some wild sci fi coming out of a simple scanned image...

According to http://community.livejournal.com/abandonedplaces/730732.html it mentions that on the 3rd floor of the admin building was the staff quarters.

The "3rd" part of the map might just make the point that someone was a staff member at FFSH.

Well it is a Map...

So I remember taking a geology class and having to create a topographic map that contain certain symbols at certain points. The few projects I got an A+ on. Anyway I thought of map symbols when I saw those weird red dots. so here is a pic with a guide of map symbols...

So I was reading this again and I know the date of the article is off, but for some reason I feel there is a clue here. The article may be OOG but perhaps the PMs want us to read about Fergus Falls? Here is why I am intrigued:

You mean like if I take the numbers on the map to read 11.89.12.68
And I search those numbers as a IP address?

And the adress comes up as 3990 E Broad St Columbus, OH 43213

And the addresses at that location are

Hmm... Columbus is a lot closer to Weirton. I'm not one to go storming a Dept. of Defense facility, but maybe the gov't liquidations part is open to the public - like a gov't surplus store. Sounds like a good possibility Jane.

Just for information: PMs aren't playing with military. So if you see some .mil-related adresses, you can be sure, they are OOG.

It would be kinda weird for these to be an IP since this map is from the late 70's and they didnt have the innernets up yet.

I'm absolutely n00b at this one, but didn't ARPAnet had something like IPs? (Well, I actually don't think those numbers on the maps are IPs)
