 		Well, 89 is a prime fibonacci number..and the 11th in the sequence..

Thats as far as that goes..I think..

Just confirmed nothing was inside the building - don't know about outside, but it sounds like the roads haven't been plowed in the FFSH area and there's a lot of snow on the ground.

I agree this isn't going to be an ISP (though the internet has technically been about since 1969). And I've checked out every variation for long/lat (all in Africa), FFSH is at 46.297556,-96.078282. I am reasonably convinced this is correct, and http://www.placeography.org/index.php/Fergus_Falls_State_Hospital,_1400_Union_Avenue_North,_Fergus_Falls,_Minnesota shows the roads correctly (googlemaps places FFSH in the wrong place), which places the X at the intersection of Old US highway 59 and W Fir Ave.

Alternative thoughts:
- Could it be 91.89?
- Are they dates (Nov 1989, Dec 1968)? The only related event I could find was Apollo 8 broadcasting a Christmas message in 68.
- These are clues in progress, possibly relating to a book cipher as mentioned by kosmopol?
- Speculatively, maybe all we need to know is that it is 3rd floor FFSH, and it will be the scene for future plot developments. I think the email from the curator has essentially confirmed nothing within building, and the likelihood of hiding something in the area is low (though if someone wanted to check, fantastic).

8->8
9->6

(Possibly 1->1, but a bit of a cheat). So any combination of those, e.g:

66->99
68->89
69->96
88->88
98->86
99->99

Which gives us 6,8,9,66,68,69,86,88,89,96,98,99: 12 combinations

 		Did anyone manage to visit the Hospital? It's frustrating living on the other side of the world! Maybe it needs its own topic.

Could there be something attached or written under the 3rd step of the staircase?

 		Trout me if you wish, I don't have time to read ALL these wonderful posts you have made. (edit: just saw the previous posting... Damn... i'll trout myself)
But I've seen a lot referring to "3rd" as the 3rd floor. The diagram on the map is pointing to the 3rd step on the stairs. So I'd speculate something is on/under/written on that 3rd stair?

I've checked the potential #'s against IP addresses.

Also wouldn't they say that room is on the 4th floor? I'd call it the 3rd floor, but I thought that in the U.S ground floor was the same as 1st.

 		Ok, so i can't really add much on this map, just something i noticed with the numbers.

If the numbers are 71.89 and 12.68, then they would form the two legs of a right triangle with a hypotenuse of 73. It's not exactly perfect but i'm assuming 71.89 and 12.68 were rounded.

Not sure if this is just a coincidence or if there is something to this. Seems strange those numbers would form a right triangle. Perhaps the hypotenuse points to or intersects with something.

This is assuming the numbers are 71.89 and 12.68, which is still up for conjecture. I could just be looking at things like the math nerd i am and seeing something that is not there.

Anybody see where a right triangle could fit into solving this puzzle?

no m8 the ground floor is the ground floor/base floor, then you go up to the first floor.

 		i dont know if it was my conection, aparently not, the site http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com/ was down for a few minutes, this happen often? or maybe they are preparing new clues perhaps? i was following this from long time but stop for some time and now i rejoined when i saw the superbowl add...can someone check if something changed, i would not know where to look at....

In the USA, the ground level is the first level. FFSH is in the USA. Thus, the third level means the third level counting the ground. If that helps.
