They already pushed them back till April (good move too since the weather was nice and warm and has caused crowds to show up). Very Happy

One (Maybe Two) More

I love the idea of having a "Flynn's Arcade" playlist. I'd like to add one more to the list however: "1990's Theme" by Journey. This is the instrumental music that was playing in the original TRON when Flynn was playing "Space Paranoids." This song has GOT to be considered cannon.

Another one that I would add would be Journey's "Only Solutions." This was also from the original TRON. It didn't actually play in the arcade, however, but during the end credits....but good enough for me!

You folks still need a label design? Let me know if so and maybe I can knock something out. I used to design labels all the time...

I almost have the whole soundtrack downloaded, just having trouble finding the Go Gos (which is odd since I figured they'd be super easy to find) and one other song. I have a few ideas for some art work, but nothing made up at all. If anybody has some good ideas bust them out. Im just think super 80s with a sweet Tron twist.

I would say anything Journey Flynn would have
they did have there own game out then and Separate Ways was the song on the bonus level of the game

Speaking of Flynn's Arcade... seems that after this upcoming Friday (March 11), my AP will be blacked out during any and all remaining ElecTRONica dates. Might be my last chance to hit the show! Anyone interested in a meetup, up in Mousetown? Prefer an all-day thing, of course, given the two-hour-drive to get there.

Will attempt to smuggle in my hand-sewn Tron jacket... Mr. Green

Update...Fall 2011

I just checked and I had most of these songs (the only two I don't have and am having trouble are Beatnik Beach and Get up and Go). But as someone who has spent a ton of time in Flynn's at Disneyland (I'm a former AP'er, but not the annoying type that has to tell everyone every chance they get, we didn't renew because of the yet-again price hikes) - I have to say a lot of these songs I never heard.

Just recently, we were there about 4 nights in a row over a holiday weekend, and I was in Flynn's playing foos/air hockey with my kids almost the entire time the arcade was open. There's a number of these songs I've never heard there, I won't name them all but...

The Cure..David Lindley, Bucker & Garcia, Dave Edmunds, Abacab.

I have a feeling their system plays certain songs more frequently than others, for example, they do the Separate Ways song (in which the lights then dim and flicker, annoying the bejeezus out of you if you're losing in air hockey and suddenly can't see Wink ).

Anyways, I know I'm necroing this a little bit, but the consistent answer I received from about 10 different employees I asked at Disney is that Electronica is ending in April of 2012.

I see a future in a pure 80's retro arcade...one that has ALL of the games, all for 25 cents, all 80's music, a two-story setup with multiple foosball and air hockey tables, and even a gift shop where us old fogies can get a new Member's Only jacket. I had done some market analysis, it is difficult to determine which cities something like this might thrive. But just imagine the mother of all retro arcades, something that once you step inside you really feel like you are in the 80s again (much like how Disneyland helps us escape).

thats what happens, disney sets a date. then as it approches they review it and decide to keep to it or extend it. So when april comes, maybe ElecTRONica will stay, maybe it'll move, maybe it'll be gone forever. theres no way of telling. the crowd seems strong though. probably stronger now than it was 6 months ago.

I'm assuming the lightcycle ride is still a go, so i figure that ElecTRONica would be around at least until then.
