The person who is calling himself Loki has broken the law by releasing documents that are sensitive to the security of our country. He is operating under the misguided idea of transparency, but I am afraid that the stakes are much higher than he could imagine. Information like this can cause trouble diplomatically and politically . But most importantly, he came upon documents and information that was not his to possess. If you run across any of this information, if would be invaluable. If you are in direct contact with this person, I advise you to be careful, and to tell him that he's better off turning himself in. So, you could say he is wanted at the most for theft, and at the most grave end of the scale treason. Its up to loki, which it will be.

I just received the Email from Sigyn actually, and an email from Curran.
I sent Curran a message asking how likely it was that Loki stole my information. Haha not all that relevant to the game I suppose.

Hi, I'm new here! Took the job test the other day and just got a bunch of e-mails from Loki. I've been spending the past couple hours catching up. Forgive me if I somehow missed this (I did read the whole thread...), but is the update to the ragna-rok site incredibly new? Clicking on the apple now leads to http://ragna-rok.net/ragnarok.html. I'm still pretty new to this whole ARG thing, but I can tell this much:

The video has --
1) A tree that is very similar to the Yggdrasil tree
2) A close up on a pool of water that has ripples from water droplets/rain falling into it
3) A thunderstorm with animated lightning
4) A volcano? I'm not exactly sure, but it looks like an orange-ish mountain with two animated steam puffs coming out of it.
5) A wolf that howls
6) And some crackling fire

Then it switches to an image of a crow, a golden spiral (in the background), some sort of cipher (? As a noob, I know nothing) made up of letters and numbers, and a strange symbol made up of circles and lines. The smaller circles light up when I put my mouse on them, but I can't seem to interact with them in any other way.

Once again, I'm really sorry if I missed something upthread! Just catching up today!

clicking the golden apple

So not sure if anyone has any ideas on the code from www.ragna-rok.net/ragnarok.html

At the end sequence there is a series of letters numbers, I think it could be hexadecimal (hence being broken up by '16').

The first line when converted reads 210, 177, 174, 208, 194, 203, 161, 193, 208, 208, 160, 193, 208, 208, 160, 193, 180, 225

not sure if it means anything at all, hopefully someone else can run with this idea and see where it fits in.

Sorry if there are any mistakes in that, it got slightly mind numbing towards the end. I'm not sure what it is, but it's a very uniform code, i'll see what i can do with it.
I wonder if it's anything to do with the shape that it appears next to on the site.

The picture with the crow also shows the Fibonacci spiral from the golden ratio.

A Fibonacci spiral that approximates the golden spiral, using Fibonacci sequence square sizes up to 34.

The mathematics of the golden ratio and of the Fibonacci sequence are intimately interconnected. The Fibonacci sequence is:

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, …

I'm not sure if this is usefull to decifer the code on the Ragna Rok page.

BTW, I'm new here, but enjoying it already..

I've seen the code before, but I always forget what its called!

The spiral certainly is the golden ratio/fibonacci spiral, and the symbol on the right looks similar to the tree of life from kaballah and other religious hocus pocus - but its a bit off.

The title of the http://ragna-rok.net/ragnarok.html page has spaces between each of the characters. Does anybody think this is significant?

The orange-moutain on the http://ragna-rok.net/ragnarok.html page is actually Hverir on Iceland. Steam comes out of the sulfat ground.

the symbol on the right in the http://ragna-rok.net/ragnarok.html page could be the tree of life mentioned by distilled. Could be that Yggdrasil again. Thor's Oak is an example of a honoured sacred tree. Or the Sacred tree at Uppsala.

I'm pretty sure that these numbers are hexadecimal conversions, if you use the '16' as a break between the numbers, then all the combinations are hexadecimal. hexadecimal goes from 0-9, A-F.

The wolf could be pointing to Fenrir, the son of Loki in the form of a wolf. He is similar in mythological nature to the chaining up of Lucifer. He grew to be strong and massive, so the gods tied him up and placed him on a rock a mile in the earth. On the day of Ragnarok, he shall break free and devour Odin, whose son, Vidar, will kill him in return.

The flames that are the final clip seem to be burning somethnig rectangular, and not very organic looking. Just a thought.

The use of a raven/crow as the page mascot may point towards imminent death or and end i.e. ragnarok, as such birds seek out dead bodies for food.

Also, Easty, someone previously suggested the significance of having spaces between the letters on the page title. If 16 represents a space, you may be onto something there...

Does anyone know what the little 'globe' graphic with the small circles is?

Regarding the globe+circles symbol. I've suggested it might be the tree of life, derived from a number of mathmatical and mystical forumlae. It's heavily used in religious symbolism; its really interesting stuff, worth taking a look. In this case, its likely referring to Yggdrasil.
