For the record, (not that it really matters, but since some of you are actually keeping records), Underscore Hosting was live and was found a while before Oct. 1st. It was actually in the Whois data for Metacortex for a time. We looked at the site, saw that it was a normal web hosting site, and went back to speculating about Revolutions and its connection with October 1st....then, a little while later, someone went back to the site and looked closely at it. He posted that _ was fake...and I think it was at this point that the really frantic ARG-ish puzzle solving began. We had passwords to crack, etc... that was an awesome moment. BTW, I'd probably be happy to write the pre-launch section of this book.
