hmm...I could probably make this fairly easily in Unity. Oh wait I have no skills in graphics =.=

I'll see what I can do, it's an amazing concept. I was thinking of doing a game from the perspective of a camera, and this seems like a great excuse to do so :](I have a project for school, a DDR clone so when I'm done with that I'll work on this one.)

I studied video game design at uni a few years back.
Unfortunately I'm currently at uni again studying to be a teacher, so there's no way I'd have the time or resources to do this - especially single-handed.

I knew there was a reason that I liked you, 8bit. Future educators FTW!

On-Topic, I think that this should be done, but not until the end of the series when we'll actually know Masky's and potentially the Operator's motives. After all, the Ark could be the goal of the whole game (but it might not) and we don't even know what the Ark is.

True. It would be interesting to see it update in real time like the series, though. Like... You download the core of the game and then the updates as they come out.

I would love to see the game happen, though.

lol, you spend the entire game hunting the ark, trns out its a red herring, the operator is behind you. You're dead.

This should exist, man.

But can you bludgeon Maskies with the maglight? Because that would be fantastic. Cool

HA! Yes, you CAN, but it doesn't STOP him, just make him limp a little while he's chasing you, like in entry 33 Smile

It's really exciting that people are actually giving thought to this.... It would make such a great game >.> I agree that it would either be better to wait until the series is finished or to have downloadable "entries" you could play thorugh. The entries coming out in realtime would really tie it together with the ARG feel of the series, too.

ALSO Marlboro Hornets would be the perfect soundtrack for the game >.>

If it intrests anyone, I've actually got the concept for a game very heavily inspired by Marblehornets called "Shutterspeed" and will be going to study game design at uni in... 8 days from this post, actually.

The game is very early in development, but I've shown the concept to a friend of mine who works on 3d animation and modelling and he wants to help work on it with me (he's testing a character model idea right now, actually)

Slenderman, or, at least, something very similar to him, will be making an appearence, but wont be the central focus. I'll happily say more if anyone is interested.

Well don't take any of this as set in stone yet, we're just messing about with concepts right now, but the core idea is this - you play a journalist/film student/person who films stuff for money. You get hired by a mysterious group to help them prove the existence of paranormal and supernatural entities. You do this by going to different locations, seeking out the creature and filming it firsthand. We plan to have appearances by favourites like the Dover Demon and Mothman, more obscure creatures like Slendy and The Rake, as well as some of our own creations.

You get no weapons, no HUD, no crosshairs. Only a torch, a camera and a phone.

As I said, nothing is set in stone yet, but it'll likely run off the HPLC engine (same engine that runs Amnesia: The Dark Descent) and the core idea will probably not change too much.

This... sounds really bloody awesome.. I would definitely like to see this.
