I liek that idea. How about a tag line for the logo:

We find the Missing. Or something of that nature. Find the Missing.

Unplug the missing? Not sure about that. Makes it Matrix related.

We would have to base it out of Redland, WA.

maybe one that has a picture of that agent
i dont know if it should be the full shot or just the earpiece

 		Guys calm down..

We dont want logos or sites... just simple name suggestions and then we can move on.. something that follows "cloudmakers" which magazines might then pick up and use if this game becomes famous..

So far I can see that nearly everyone agrees on "Meta-".. so let's see if we can build on that?

 		I like MetARGonauts. Combines the specific (Metacortechs), the genre (ARGs) and the fact that this group navigates within the game (-nauts). Plus, it's short and sweet.

Sorry. I don't think anything likes that. It does combines the two and is short and sweet, but does not sing anything. For me, It does not "do anything". Too much Jason... know what I mean. Does not fit into the whole Metacortechs theme.

 		If it's not going to be DeadCafe, it should be something souless and corporate. Maybe something like the names that the tobacco companies are changing to. Something pseudo-latin or -greek.

 		I like the sound of ARGonauts the best up till now, and I'm also in favor of using Meta in front of any name we would pick, but on the other side, MetaARGonauts or MetARGonauts takes the coolness out of it imho... instead we could maybe use CortexARGonauts? (or Cortex ARGonauts with a space in between).

The Cascaders would be my second (but still very nice!) choice atm.

Er, why? That's depressing...it should be something that sounds cool while also having connections with the game/genre or something like that... most importantly, it has to sound cool, though. So I personally like ARGonauts (makes it sound like we're on a daring quest for something), but not Metargonauts because that just has too many syllables and sounds awkward, no matter how appropriate it is. I also think Cascaders sounds cool...*cough* Wink Honestly, not just because I suggested it. We'd be able to call this place the Cascade... For originality, maybe we could change the spelling to Casquaders or something...Dead Cafe is a bit depressing, but I guess it's kinda funky and retro-y if you want to think about it that way. I just don't want the name to constantly remind me of Dina's writings. Those things creep me out a lot...

So my top choices = ARGonauts and Cascaders.

And, for the record, because I wouldn't be surprised if someone were keeping one...I was joking when I suggested Wongmo's Wankers and Caesar's Celery Sticks. Just in case you guys were beginning to question my sanity. Mr. Green

Please understand I'm not trying to insult anyone here, this is just my opinion on the names them selves, not the people who came up with them.

I personally think that ARGonauts and MetARGonauts are about as far away from cool as you can get. It just sounds really... nerdy. This is just my 2 cents; obviously the hardcore players should have a stronger vote in the name than people like me.

I know the name should be connected to the game, but that doesn't mean we have to just pick syllables from words used in the game and piece them together into a word that sort-of makes sense. That's why I like Dead Cafe. It is a specific reference in the game, unique to this game, and on top of that it sounds cool. Even if this name isn't choosen, (probably won't be) I think the name should be along the same lines. Not neccessarily in tone, but in that it is a specific reference.

I think we should think about what we want the name to be; it should be more meaningful than ARGonauts IMHO. It should require some thought as to what reference we want to make.

I don't know, I'll try to come up with some suggestions for what I think are cool sounding names, in case of the off chance that someone agrees with me.
