DeadCafe is good!!!

A gathering place, a game reference, and the way we all must look after a few hours of playing the "hang-on-what-the-hell-just-happened-in-th-ten-minutes-it-took-me-to-get-a-coffee!??" game...

Azathoth likes DeadCafe. It appeals to his inner Dolphin.

Which is black and anrgy, and has a few ideas of it's own about what it's like to do to Wongmo..

If we go with Deadcafe, how about something like this for a logo? (someone more versed in Photoshop could certainly do better, though)

Sorry joe... it's been a good 7 years since I sat at a piano (sober) and played anything other than chopsticks (badly)... what're the red keys signifying?

So what would this make any given player? A DeadCafe-er? DeadCafe-goer? DeadCafe-dweller?

Azathoth, that's d-e-a-d-c-a-f-e from left to right.

With much love and deadcaffection to you all, I'm taking a break until Saturday. Talk to you then, and hopefully I'll bring news from the real world.

You do remember the real world, right?

The Cascaders?

Dictionary.com wrote:
A chemical or physiological process that occurs in successive stages, each of which is dependent on the preceding one, and often producing a cumulative effect: an enzymatic cascade.

I thought of this because of a book I read...Mirror Dance, by Lois McMaster Bujold. Absolutely fantastic author, but anyway... in the book, one of the main characters has amnesia, is lost, and has no idea who he is. One day, something triggers a memory, and they all come falling back into his mind at once. His doctor refers to this as "cascading." It sounds appropriate for the ARG...we always have seemingly random, separate clues and bits and pieces, and every once in a while parts seem to come together logically. The PMs certainly aren't giving us enough data for a true cascade, but, when we see how the plot all fit together, it might feel something like that. Very Happy Also, Cascaders hints at this collective intelligence that we have going on here, in the sense that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We each contribute whatever we can, and the result is a "cumulative effect," a cascade.

And then there's the Cascade Vortex connection, in case someone didn't catch that. Very Happy

Even if we don't use this, I had fun typing it out, and that's all that matters. Whee! Mr. Green

[Edit] The other definition has a certain metaphorical appeal as well:
Dictionary.com wrote:
A waterfall or a series of small waterfalls over steep rocks.

We're gradually navigating down the steep rocks. Very Happy And our logo/image thingie could be a pretty waterfall, or maybe some rapids or something...and, for our reunion, we can all go white water rafting!

Er, I may be getting a bit ahead of myself there...
