ARE THEY WRAPPING THINGS UP? A shitload of developments have happened within a short period of time. A lot of questions were answered and loose ends got tied. We're really in a turmoil now. Does this mean we are nearing the end of the game? Do you feel like you figured stuff out or are you still totally in oblivian? And is this really the conclusion ? Or is there even more amzing stuff to come?

The obvious reply is, "I hope more amazing stuff comes!" but in reality, it is odd that all of the sudden so many updates are occuring. It's hard for me to keep up. Before, we had a few days to sort some details out, get the facts straight, etc. Now they are updated like everyday!
I honestly hope they do more with the metacortechs site though. They havn't changed much of it since the begining and I always thought that it would be one of the main places to check.
Maybe they will do something with the MetaVRX beta or the employee log ins?

Well, it's a bit unsatisfying it this is it. And I'm not talking about answering the "is this WB?" question. Sure we just witnessed an arch here. But there's still some connections waiting to be discovered. Points in the story waiting to happen. I'm happy for Ethan that he rescued Jesse finally. But it's gotta go on from their. One of the latest hacker files (the To-night files) has "you're all in danger" in it. Whatever that means.
I think that we are nearing a bigger arch in the story, and my theory is that this was just a minor hill in the roller coaster. Something more is going to happen. This is probably just the preview climax before we hit the big one.

Well, I doubt the ARG is ending anytime soon. Consider the following:
1. We just found out about Schuffhausen, so that plot line is obviously still in its early stages of development.
2. We have no idea what lifeandcasualty.com could be about
3. We haven't used the MetaCortechs login yet (or any other of the MC office directories besides Redland)
4. We have no idea what the game is even "about". We've tied up a lot of questions, but the real question still remains: What is the "big picture" or synopsis? For a real good ARG story, seems to me that a grand scheme has to emerge, tying up EVERYTHING. We're not even close to that, yet, in my mind.
So I expect we still have a couple or three months to go... :-)

I'm getting the Roller Coaster vibe as well, and this might be the big drop before a wild ride...

plus hackers escaping in the whatever the ai man called it doesnt really resolve anything, plus we are not certain that the Averys are in fact dead dead, and aside for the hackers meeting Beth, and Beth helping the AI man, we have absolutely no resolution or conclusion, unless this is supposed to end with a 'hackers escape death and caesar never finds his missing people, and everyone else lives in fear' :)
As stated above, we are just now learning about the person behind wongmo, and it would be pointless to establish a new identity for him if he was supposed to spill the beans on what he has to do with anything..

plus the whole Aquapolis arc with carefully prepared incident logs, Kat's "accident"(?), Niehoffers "purpose", etc.
Too many open ends to stop now, and more important, too many wasted effort in preparing stuff if they did.

I think all the PM's monitor us via this site and
any other website this is being discussed. The
frequency of events is dictated by how we are
fairing with the clues, puzzles, and so on. The
better we do, the better the pace of the game.
At least that is what makes sense to me... course
with a bit more sleep behind me, maybe it wouldn't
make any sense at all.

well if that was true, then some of the times when it was 4-5 days between updates must of suggested we were failing at something.
I think the pace is a set by several factors:
-speed at which we solve
-things we never solved, or solved wrong, overlooked
-natural progression of events (everything can't happen in one day)
-corrections to sites due to peeking behind the curtain, typos, configurations, data being mangled, errors and omissions
-available time to update
[spec]
Sometimes we may be looking too deep, or we may notice plot holes which are corrected on the fly sometimes with the next puzzle, interaction.

That and there has been a lot of complaining about how the updates were so scattered, causing people to spend hours reading the forum just to catch up.
Maybe the PMs are just making their own lives easier, so they don't have to keep catching up on posts

I think they are monitoring our progress as well.
For example, I think when theaquapolis incidentlogs were password-protected, they waited to see if we got the password. When we didn't, they had Kat get an e-mail about her account being set up, giving us the user name and letting us know that she requested the password. With that info, it was solved within hours.

I believe the rate at which they update is just like the pace of a book or a movie. When it's supposed to get exciting/scary/whatever, the way a book is written and the way a movie is filmed makes it seem as though you are moving more quickly through it than other parts. It builds the excitement and helps set the mood.
The PMs could be trying to do the exact same thing with this ARG. When it got really exciting with the hackers all meeting up and Beth meeting them, and Dina getting captured, etc., updates began happening everyday buiding everyone's excitement level while we all ran around trying to keep updated.
