Thank you, I was aware of that also. If it was closer I would still go take a look - right away. But, being a Trip... I will need that - Go look here and you will find - type clue to make the trip. Laughing

Can't remember when it was worked out that the newspaper was dated, but it seems logical to me that its probably from a time when Josh was very young.. that message was from his dad (or even to his dad, originally).

Perhaps it was left on the PDP for Josh to find (and the PDP was left for Josh from his dad, perhaps?) - I know, I'm probably just randomly connecting dots, but this is how things make sence in my head! - Why else does he have the PDP?

Seems that the newspaper was dated circa 1963--would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between the "September 19, 1962" trailer jigsaw piece.

Good thoughts, although seems like Mysterio had told Josh (after Josh had asked Myst if he should shut down the blog), "No. Keep posting. Say you were robbe[d]. Say you've involved the police. Lie. You need to act normal."

Therein lies the dilemma. (The character development they're constructing for) Josh seems to somewhat lazy and is wont to post whenever he feels like it, so I guess the bottom line is what is "normal" for Josh?

Since both are fictional stories, one film's year-setting has nothing to do with the other. This is Abrams making a film (partly) on how Spielberg's films influenced him, both growing up and as a filmmaker.

No one is saying the events/characters of ET will appear in SUPER 8, but perhaps story influences and themes will cross over. The connections are not intended to be literal translations.
